Building Credit: The do's and don'ts

Great post! Thanks for the response. I applied for a student card, but they told me to reapply once I enroll in college in a few months. They suggested the secured credit card, which I have been considering for a few days now. I like my bank, there is a reason it is so popular in my area. The...

    My Bootstrapping Method

Well, one reason I haven't gotten back into it is that I don't want to become the guy that is always trying to peddle his wares on everybody. I decided I'd wait to come back with more cases until I get a new order in with more variations. $.70 would be great and I will look into getting a...

    My Bootstrapping Method

Good idea. Think of the case as an otterbox, but not as strong plastic. The case is mostly for looks, but provides some protection. Not near as high quality as Otterbox, but still nice. I never got any complaints. My mom and my cousin both use them and love theirs.

    My Bootstrapping Method

Distribution would be almost completely through face to face interactions. If you've ever been to a sporting event, you'd see people at a table selling things like tee-shirts and cups and other silly things. This would be my ideal method of sales. School groups are always looking for fundraising...

    My Bootstrapping Method

Redoing the thread because I'm not getting much response, so I'll just shorten it to a quick read. Buy generic phone cases and print on them and sell them.

18 Year Old Taking Action: eCommerce Progress Thread

    EXECUTION
I'm also 18, glad to see someone else my age actually pursuing something positive. You said each unit is priced under a dollar each. How much are you selling them for each? Are you selling them in packs that way you can get a decent return on them? Great find on the speakers! They're a popular...

6 Figures in 12 Months! How to Free Yourself from Wage Slavery

    HOT!
Nice thought. Seems like a decent industry. I wouldn't be interested, but I can see where somebody here may be. Hopefully it'll help someone out.

Would you mind if I PM you regarding a card that sounds good to me?

Building Credit: The do's and don'ts

This make me wonder if I can use the card to bootstrap on Craigslist like I already do. Not sure if it's even possible, but can I withdraw the cash on a cheap iPhone 5s, sell it the same day, and put the money back to pay the bill at the end of the month? Or would you recommend against that, as...

Building Credit: The do's and don'ts

Thank you for the advice! So, what I've gathered so far throughout this thread is this: Don't spend money you don't have on the credit card, but be sure to actually SPEND money. I need to push the limits (when I can) and try to get my limits raised so that my credit looks better. Am I getting...

Building Credit: The do's and don'ts

You do have a lot of good points. When I am fresh out of college, or if I choose to live off campus after my Freshman year, I plan to rent a furnished apartment. This way I am not tied down by anything other than a lease. I like your objectionable stance toward the issue, many people are not...

Building Credit: The do's and don'ts

Not to say you're wrong, but I feel obliged to argue that most people do not have $250,000 (Pretty common for homes in my area, at least) laying around to buy a home. Renting is for those who don't know where they want to be for the rest of their lives, and don't want to be tied down, or it is...

    Considering buying a business

Very exciting thoughts! However, I will try not to rack my brain too much until I actually buy the unit. Still waiting on a response via email.

    Considering buying a business

The way said it came off in a way that I did not mean it. I would definitely take market prices into consideration above all else. I was really speaking from the ending of the picture. Around here, cups of ice and flavoring go for about $4 a cup. I can charge less than that and make great profits.

    Considering buying a business

You can think of it as a shed type building. I'll be moving the building to my area. It comes with all equipment inside. I see your point, and I have already thought about it. But, I have not made a decision at this point. I think a big player in the decision is whether or not I'm paying...

    Considering buying a business

I don't know his area well, but I do know that he lives in an area popular for duck hunting, and that's the only reason I know the town exists. Lots of redneck hunters in that area, and I'm guessing that because of this, business isn't as great as it could be. My area loves snow cones, and has a...
