Your idea is probably good enough

    IDEA
Depends - for physical products where you basically have a prototype as the image and people can pre-order it, that's pretty solid validation. For software - It doesn't really mean anything because what you build will be completely different than a landing page. The core message might be the...

Your idea is probably good enough

    IDEA
I used to put really high value on the idea itself because it seems like if you build something that's a great idea it should just explode. What I've come to realize (which may or may not be true) is that it's really not about the idea at all. Most peoples ideas are actually pretty good. Where...

What can I do to make my website sell?

    HOT! MARKETING
What type of people though? Even odd future who you linked to before has built their brand from rappers who convey a certain type of message with a certain type of audience and their website clearly reflects that. Right away I can tell their appealing to some type of urban internet raised...

What can I do to make my website sell?

    HOT! MARKETING
All the best brands represent something e.g. Nike - Just do it - Speaks for itself I don't get any feeling from your brand although I think the images and website are fine. Personally, right now i'm wearing a buffer shirt I got for free from bufferapp.com and I like wearing it because it...

Sounds like an awesome place you have! If they are going to be starting on e-commerce, I would suggest having them get their first sales from friends + family and also with offline flyer distribution.

Why do people act like the goal isn't to make money?

    HOT!
You ever designed a product before? Building a product while focused on money is completely different than focusing on building for value. Money is my personal need - not my customers. (at least when using my product) I have to solve their problem, not mine. The better I can do that then...

Is labeling yourself a "Startup" the slowlane?

    SLOWLANE
You sound sour. Someone take you milk money again? You basically just said: "people think they can build stuff and they do and fail and i hate them for it <sad face>" Who are you to tell someone that they can't build something for whatever reason?
