Marketing Agency - put prices or not

    MARKETING WEB DESIGN
Is a fixed price part of your USP? If it were between you and another agency, would you be cheaper? By listing prices you are conveying the message that price is important. Is that what you want to do? In my agency, I charge more than most of my competitors, so I don't list prices. I talk a...

My procrastination habits make me miserable

I believe it's only on Android but I'm making a similar browser based app that can be used from any device.

My procrastination habits make me miserable

I have spent periods of my life in a similar place. In my early 20's I had a lot of zero days. A zero day is when you don't do a single thing I that moves you forward... I haven't had a zero day in many years, but I still feel like I could do more, and I'm right. It's all relative. When I look...

I received a scary e-mail from Google Maps....

    OFF-TOPIC
Google is tracking me no matter what I do. Enabling location history just gives me access to my own data for my use. I've used this feature multiple times. It's great. If I want to remember where I road my motorbike last month, boom just look at location history. One time I even used it to...

VR Content will be the next multi-trillion dollar industry

I was just thinking last night how great it would be to be able to give a prospect a demo with them wearing a vr headset so they could see what it's like to actually use the product. To do it today we would have to send them a headset. I picture it like in The Matrix where Neo gets the envelope...

Minimum Viable Content Model for SEO and Content Marketing

    MARKETING
Hey Darius. Thanks for sharing those valuable tidbits. Your description pretty much exactly what I do. I say high-school rough draft because that's sufficient enough to see what Google thinks, but the quality of my rough draft articles are usually better than what else is out there already and...

You can always tell them to go to hell tomorrow.

    HOT! PEOPLE
The relationships I have with some of my favorite clients started out with me wanting to tell them to kick rocks. Sometimes my job is to muck through the bs until we get to the gold...

The 2020 Fastlane Summit "Social" Thread

    HOT! MEETUPS
It would be cool to have a WhatsApp or Facebook messenger group for everyone that wants to meet up outside of the main event so it's easy to link up. Any ideas?

Minimum Viable Content Model for SEO and Content Marketing

    MARKETING
It's not just that Google is rewarding me, but that I'm making the right moves because my actions are based on the real feedback I get from the search engines. I'm busy optimizing my content while others haven't even published it yet. With that said, I do believe Google rewards websites that...

Minimum Viable Content Model for SEO and Content Marketing

    MARKETING
This post is about publishing content that ranks high on Google Search and brings organic visitors to your website. I'm writing it for those that feel like content marketing can work for them but they don't know where to start. It's also for those that are already struggling to get the results...

My Mind Always Comes Back to "Getting Comfortable"

    MINDSET
I went to bed last night with this thought: The only decision that matters is the decision I make right now. Your post reminded me of this because you're staring into the future at this mountain of work and deciding not to push forward now. Stop worrying about the future and decide to sit...

    Coding bootcamp?

    MINDSET
Have you considered looking for jobs? I'm currently interviewing for a front end web developer job with zero JavaScript experience even though one of the requirements is Vuejs. They straight up told me that they are looking for attitude and willingness to learn over coding knowledge. They...

SEO is writing this particular post worth it?

    MARKETING
The best way to do content marketing with SEO is to publish articles and watch the results. This is the only way to really have a clear path forward. The estimates you get from tools and Google are pretty inaccurate especially with low volume. These days the only metrics I really pay attention...

Did It: Zero to $12k a Month (Now $75K) While Traveling the World

    GOLD! EXECUTION
Hey Juan! My recommendation is to just start doing stuff. Doing is the best way to learn and there isn't anything in the online world you can't learn online, so pick an objective and set out to win. You'll surely have to study as you go and hack things together, but you'll learn so much that in...

Hello to all! A new beginning!

    INTRO
Welcome Sarah! Even if your book isn't a mega-hit, being a published author opens up a lot of doors. It's a lot easier to get the attention of media outlets like radio and news stations if you introduce yourself as a published author. Just a little tidbit to keep you charging forward...

Why Gold Is More Secure To Invest a business 2020

Buy gold at 1400 then sell it at 1500. You made money... Source: 6 mo gold chart. If one buys gold now when stocks are soaring, they'll probably make money if a resession hits and money flies into safe haven assets. There's also gold mining stocks which will benefit from a rise in metals

Your 2020 Vision: Most liked plan wins a sponsored Insider's sub!

    MINDSET
I already have a sub, but I want to play! It's 2020 already and I'm using hindsight to guide my way forward. Just this morning I created a spreadsheet to track this year's goals. This year, time is my currency and I'm setting out to spend it wisely. There are 8760 hours in a year. 1/3 of them...

    Commercial Contractors (Idea Feedback)

    IDEA
I'll play devil's advocate. As a marketer who specializes in construction I have come across dozens of companies trying to do this with a lot of variations. There's one called Househappy that does something similar for residential remodeling. It's less of a marketplace and more of a conscierge...
