The reason I don't like Think and Grow Rich...

    BOOKS
Wow, this thread really changed in its scope from the time that it started through to the present. Originally it was simply about why the OP did not like TAGR. He did not invoke the name of Robert Kiyosaki. Also somewhere along the way, it seemed to insult other people and just go crazy. Think...

Be the one to write the book or short story that appears on HBO, or Showtime or Netflix or whatever network! I say that because I don't watch TV and get involved in the craziness, especially football which is treated like it was a religion around here, especially since the RAVENS are playoff...

I never mentioned paying for Facebook ads. I was thinking of learning how to do it free, which Facebook offers a course on it. I asked people what they also thought of the video. It would have been nice if you had actually watched it and given me your opinions so your responses could have been...

I found this video that describes how to start an agency for no money. He talks about creating your own website, driving traffic to it with either SEO or facebook. And then when you have that under your belt, you can start charging. I was looking into taking the free GOOGLE SEO certification...

Well, I don't think that finding a business to fix that is feasible.

Well that puts me at a disadvantatge. Most of my friends work for someone else or the stores that I buy from, at least here, are basically big box stores. The very small selection of mom and pops that I do buy from, dont want a website or think they need one. So where else to look? LinkedIn...

Some questions regarding this. What do you do when the following happens; 1) ads are placed by agencies. 2) they are looking for local people only? How do you get around that? 3. ad says pay commensurate with experience. 4, They are looking for an intern only. Also, I thought I would go with...

    Hi People!

    INTRO
Hello Wow, you are really into a lot of stuff. How do you find the time to start a business? I'm trying to cut a lot of extra stuff out of my life. I cut most of my facebook groups and unsubscribed from a lot of emails as I basically never read them. You have to focus on one thing, business...

Manta is good. There are also directories that are linked to your local library that lists thousands of businesses. It is free for them and for you (some do pay for more extensive listings though) and these do list the names of the owners in many cases.

Lex DeVille's - I Deleted My Upwork Account...

    NOTABLE! SIDE HUSTLE
Truthfully I am not sure. The amount of information is overwhelming. I"m not finding a multitude of good jobs on the freelancer forums right now, usually like 1 or two a day I"m interested in. I have 58 applications on upwork but only 8 on freelancer so that one will be slower. I'm also...

It is not just the mindset on Upwork it is also the attitudes on Freelancer. Guy posted job on there and said I want US only freelancers. 5 people applied. Not one was from the US, and then they wonder why they don't get hired!

Hey Lex: Thanks so much for starting this thread. Progress report. Monday evening I searched upwork, found a job that is like 450. Bid that amount while everybody else was like lowballing. The listing was vague and not enough description so I asked the poster what he wanted, what were his...

First, thank you for the great response. The video I was referring to were two that took place earlier in the thread. The first one was about deleting your profile and the second one was how to write proposals and it was over 1 hour long. #63 and 74

Hello Lex: I'm hoping that the following will not be a stupid question which can sometimes occur with very long threads. 1. You mention you are not using the personality tests anymore with proposals. Has anything else changed? 2. Have the two older videos in #63 and #74 been deprecated or do...

I have researched some restaurants that have had awful awful websites and the vast majority, however, have awesome websites. They are larger restaurants. The smaller ones that can use the service probably can't afford it and basically probably would not see the value in monthly services. Some...
