HOT! CHATI just went to a big indoor garage sale with the family. I picked up 2 decent sized containers of Lego, probably like 3-5,000 pieces, for $15 Canadian. Also grabbed a huge bag of clothes for my son for $5. Spend a whole day out with the kids and score a crap ton of stuff for less than the...- GPM

HOT! CHATFor reference I also have a 100 trillion Zimbabwe bill on my desk. $8.7 trillion isn't as much as you think it is when extra "value" can be obtained by devaluing the currency it is based in. Keep those government printers going brrrrrrrrrrr and soon an entry level car will be well over...- GPM

HOT! CHATThis is why my spying device stays in a faraday bag while I am not using it lol. Give them marginal comfort and they will gladly give up their freedom for it. Hell, you can take away people's opportunity for high paying jobs, have them work minimum wage instead, but give them miniscule...- GPM

HOT! CHATI dare anyone to go look up Windows 11 Recall "feature" and try to tell me that is not an absolute privacy nightmare. You go and use any privacy tool you want, if MS has access to take pictures of your screen and what you are doing they are completely nullified. Oh but don't worry! MS tells us...- GPM

HOT! CHATHere is an article FROM TWENTY TWELVE (2012) about this!!! That was 13 years ago. You can bet they are better at it now. Remember technology moves exponentially, not linearly. This crap is off the charts now: The Incredible Story Of How Target Exposed A Teen Girl's Pregnancy- GPM

HOT! CHATApple to pay $95 million settlement over Siri “listening” to conversations I will just leave that here... Big companies are on their side, not yours. If that means stealing your data to sell, and then paying a small fine worth significantly less than the profit they earned, they will do it...- GPM

HOT! CHATI watched "The Astronaut" last night. Not a great movie, but really, really fun soundtrack, The speaker system I have, and this subwoofer still just blows me away! And to think, this is considered an "entry level sub" in the world of good quality theater subs is crazy. I wonder how an even...- GPM

Progress thread - My metal record store (opened August 1, 2023)
EXECUTIONI agree about metal being a special niche, something amazing about metal stores. They spend money, and they know what they want. And metal is kind of shunned in the rest of stores. I remember when CD's were a thing, the metal section of HMV and A&B sound was comically small. If you want to...- GPM

HOT! CHATWell trick-or-treating was a surprise! This community is a gold mine! I'd say only 1/3rd of the houses had lights and and were giving things out, and the properties are very large and spaced out, but holy smokes did they ever hand out a lot of stuff! We didn't go long, and each kid got 7 full...- GPM

HOT! CHATMy kiddos are little and cute, and we just moved to a new neighborhood, so I will be walking around with them. It is cold out though, so my wife says she will stay in and hand out candy. HOT! CHATI absolutely love mine. It is located in the basement of a two floor home (plus basement), with tall ceilings, so it has a decent ways to travel to get to the far reaches. The water is cold for about 4 seconds in the uppermost floor, and then it is nice. Strangely enough the basement shower...- GPM

HOT! CHATThat's funny. The only thing I've seen about it is "durrrrrrrrr orange man bad. Orange man old and embarrassed himself in front of Japan for being old. Orange man bad!" These pictures paint a much different picture. It looks like they really enjoyed themselves. I wish the Canadian leaders...- GPM

HOT! CHATIt's pairing a cheap food, with an even cheaper food. For when hot dogs are all you can afford, and not ground beef. I want a throwing up emoge. That's the grossest looking "food" I've ever seen. Hot dogs and hamburger helper? Just nasty.- GPM
