Business Success when there's no Middle Class

    HOT!
I've been thinking about where America is headed, and when I look 20 years into the future, the Middle Class will be crushed (even more so than it's already been the past 20 years). Public policies will encourage it, and technology will enable it. As a business owner, I don't want to be serving...

    The coming recession

Derivatives removed "skin in the game" which, along with government policies to encourage home buying by unqualified buyers, encouraged poor bank decision-making. That was the key factor in the creation of the environment. But mortgage defaults is ultimately what caused the system to fail.

I see. Your point is that hard assets are a form of protection against usd melt-down due to unsustainable US debt levels. I personally don't see the levels as being unsustainable. Stupid, but still safe. Also, for anybody thinking about preparing for some cataclysmic event, I read a super...

I'm not sure I follow your point then. How are hard assets tested via the national debt (if that's what you are saying)? What makes you think the national debt is unsustainable/will cause a recession?

Considering we can print as much money as we want, I don't see how that is a hard asset, nor what would cause it to not be able to not continue.

    Are Some Big Problems Unsolvable?

I'm going to disagree with others here, and say YES - some problems are unsolvable, though not necessarily the ones you mention (cancer seems entirely curable, though unlikely in our current medical establishment). Let's take bullying as an example, something I've thought about quite a bit. Can...

None of Ripple's customers are EVER likely to use a coin, in my opinion. That's why I call XRP garbage. At some point, companies such as Ripple are going to screw over coin holders by flooding the market with additional supply, and then investors WILL respond negatively. I think we are at least...

Ripple as a company will be fine. Their coin, XRP, is completely unnecessary and a poor use of crypto/blockchain, as far as I understand it. Even if banks wanted to use the technology they don’t need XRP and getting banks on both sides of a transaction as customers is a hell of a challenge.

Yes. Except some coins have the runway to solve their issues before a major correction and some have much easier to solve problems than others. Doge coin has a $2 billion market cap. BILLION. Again, that doesn’t mean you can’t make money with them.

Ripple the company is fine. They are great at marketing. The problem is that XRP's market cap is entirely speculation (as are the majority of altcoins). No bank is actually using the coin, and the way banks operate - they are at least 3 years away from usage justifying basically ANY value - much...

My current view is that altcoins are massively over-valued, but the over-valuation may continue to get bigger for another year or two. At some point, people will realize 90% of these coins are worthless (Ripple is garbage) but I don't see anything forcing that correction for quite some time. The...

Yes and no. If you consider coins as one big, single collection - certainly not. There are too many different reasons for many of them to exist. But, within pockets of specific value propositions - I think the answer is largely yes.

Great input. Thanks for the info! What exchange can I use to buy it? It's on Binance, but they have paused allowing any new users. Hitbtc also has it, but has terrible reviews.
