Cleaning Company: Need Help With A Bid

I'd shoot for 50% gross profit (COGS = which would be payroll + payroll costs associated with the account & equipment/supplies). You might be willing to go down to 40%, but anything lower than that is a risk you aren't making money or it's not worth it.

    HOT! SIDE HUSTLE SOCIAL MEDIA
I'm confused by what you are saying... are you saying a niche topic account performs way better than a brand-specific account? What kind of content does best? How do you get this content?

    My Experience Eating Keto/Carnivore

    NOTABLE!
I generally eat under 2lbs/day. I was eating mainly Ribeye but more NY Strip now, so it's like $20.

That's one way to look at it. Not sure it's entirely accurate, but it isn't wrong either.

    My Experience Eating Keto/Carnivore

    NOTABLE!
Carnivore diet is legit. I haven't cut all carbs yet, but have started making Steak my primary source of calories, no longer force myself to eat veggies/fruit, and feel much better. Eating strictly nothing but steak and eggs isn't completely necessary, but learning about Carnivore Diet was a...

    Pickup laundry business

I pay for this already. I did some rough math, and if they are doing it out of their house they probably make $20-$30/hour after considering travel to pickup/drop-off. Not a bad hustle for a stay at home mom, which is what the people we use are doing I think.

    Thoughts On The 10X Rule

    HOT!
I'm not saying he is wrong, I'm saying that I think you need a little traction before setting 10X goals in my experience. But I'm not too big on goal setting anyway. The 10X Rule book, like the majority of Grant's material, is overly simplistic. But like I said, that's part of how Grant has...

    Thoughts On The 10X Rule

    HOT!
I've read the book, as well as his others. 10x effort seems so stupid. He literally doesn't consider working smarter at all. Where I give him credit with this book is that things are generally MUCH harder than you think they will be, and your expectations have to reflect that. Because if you...

    [Progress] Growing a Cleaning Business

    NOTABLE!
Hourly rates are WAY lower for commercial than residential, but services are more frequent and space is bigger so more hours. It varies by market, but here a residential cleaner might be $40/hour where as commercial is $25. And it's not valued very highly, where as people with money value not...

Jordan Peterson is creating own online university to destroy college “indoctrination cults”/Marxism

    HOT!
Agree that the world will be a better place if less people went to indoctrination cults known as colleges. But I don't see an online school accomplishing it. Rejecting marxism isn't enough. We must reject everything about the education system that de-humanizes us, removes our individuality, and...

I am reading Kapil Gupta's 3 books. I've read 1 of them, Direct Truth, and am half way through Atmamun. It's VERY different than everything else out there. I highly recommend checking out his website Siddha Performance - The Truth If you like his Discourses, that's basically what his books...

What's going on with Elon Musk? Eccentric or going mad?

    HOT! PEOPLE
LOL, apparently he was tripping on acid when he tweeted. So much for my thinking that he had run this by Legal! FWIW, I still think any damage from this is minimal & he tries to go through with it.

What's going on with Elon Musk? Eccentric or going mad?

    HOT! PEOPLE
In this case, I think Elon CERTAINLY knew what he was doing, and checked with legal before posting it. I think he knew there would be lawsuits, but decided to do it anyway & I expect he will follow through with taking it private as that minimizes any consequences. Good for him!

    Is goal setting B#LLSH@t?!

    HOT! MINDSET
The system is what matters. Scott suggests, and I agree, that you focus on on that. Obviously, to decide on a system, you have to have a goal, or at least vision of where you are going. But the goal isn't what you focus on or measure yourself by - the system is. Did I make 10 sales calls today...

    Is goal setting B#LLSH@t?!

    HOT! MINDSET
Apparently I'm the only one who has Voted "No" for Goalsetting doesn't work. It *does* work in some specific cases. For instance, if you have a business with a system in place & know that for every 10 sales calls you do, you get 1 customer... Then setting a goal of 100 new customers, you know...

How exactly did Warren Buffet Become a Billionaire?

    INVESTING FEATURED!
Yes, and before managing OPM he had done quite well starting/owning his own businesses and investing. He also had some family money. This is the real answer to how Buffett became a Billionaire... investing the float from insurance. He also moved away from being a value investor into a very...

    B2B vs B2C

I have both B2B & B2C businesses. Both local businesses, so somewhat limited scalability. B2C is a lot easier to get started and initial ramp up. Getting B2C customers is a lot easier generally, because the price point is a lot lower and they are... let's say - promiscuous with their spending...
