New guy from Michigan here, working on changing my mindset. Advice and insights greatly appreciated.

    INTRO
Hey everyone, I’m Ryan, from Michigan, wanted to introduce myself after having been on here for a few months. I’ve found tons of gold nuggets of advice and experience strewn about on here, and am looking forward to finding more, and giving back some myself. I’m a sophomore, at a local...

    Signs you are a "wantrapreneur"

    HOT! MINDSET
(Why Business cards before a business=Action faker mindset) Found my answer late the other night, while going through MJ's youtube channel. He addressed someone with a "great idea" for a new business, who ran out and got cards, before doing anything else. He can list himself as the CEO, but...

Great post Tony. I'm not going to cancel the books I was just about to order, since they were recommended on here, but will remind myself that "knowing" it doesn't mean a thing unless I implement it. Nor does saying all that and then getting motivated at the thought of not falling for false...

Benefits of the Fastlane, while living in the Slowlane?

    SLOWLANE
Alright, I win the clueless contest. There's some humor there, but I'm missing it, and I've read it 10 times. Sorry to make you explain it, I'm not usually the lost one... I started writing all 6 options down I thought of, but realized it was pointless....:wacky:

    The "Astonishing Secrets" Thread

    GOLD! MINDSET
I really hate posts like this, because it becomes impossible for me to pick a favorite line, or even paragraph... ;) Absolutely amazing stuff. I don't have much of a rep on here yet, so I know that doesn't mean much from me, but all this straightforward, honest, motivating, eye-opening and...

    SLOWLANE
I like these, though I admit to having had some of these thoughts before... Like this one.. I don't see how a car isn't an asset... now it is a asset that (usually) declines in value, and is a bad investment, but not all assets are good investments, are they? Yeah, I just found it on here...

Agreed, I think that's what this is for the most part.

Benefits of the Fastlane, while living in the Slowlane?

    SLOWLANE
http://www.viralnova.com/tiny-house-project/ I was on facebook the other day, which is rare for me. I'd gotten a message and logged in to reply. I couldn’t help but notice this story, which was the very first thing in my newsfeed. This seems to be almost the opposite of the 30k millionaire...

Should you go to college? CEO and CoFounder of Spiceworks gives his opinion..

I liked the video (watched the last few minutes), and I think the guy made some valid points. I thought it was interesting when he said that he thinks the easy accessibility of information and the many types of tools available are causing the "deep level" of understanding of computer systems to...

8 Steps That Will Radically Change Your Life in 30 Days or Less, Guaranteed.

    GOLD! MINDSET
I have to comment here, because out of everything else I want to comment on, this just kind of blew my mind. I'm in great shape and healthy, by my lifestyle choices, but wow, I've never thought of a diet as setting yourself up for future failure. That's a revolutionary perspective to me...

How to Get on the Cover of @Forbes: Don't Take Advice from Forbes.

    GOLD! INVESTING
Outstanding post, MJ. Every time I read one of these "articles" you've written, I have to consciously slow myself from reading too quickly, because there are so many insightful and clariying truths to comprehend. I end up needing to read it all at least twice. Classic, in a good and proven...

Behind Every Successful Man Is a Surprised Woman!

Great post. Wanted to just quote the parts I have questions on, but it's all worth reading twice. :) Just a few follow up questions on some point you made. "The biggest reason for divorce is money." This I know, it's been proven time and again. SteveO's post could be considered a partial...

Did I make a mistake?...The right lawyer for a mobile app company

    SAAS / APPS
As MJ says, you need your A+A's. Attorney's and Accountants. Very important to your success in the fastlane. Anyone in these professions that you hire will play a huge role in your business, so getting the right people is essential. They hold the "keys to your castle." Don't be ignorant and...

Youth vs Wealth - The Big Life choice trade-off

    MINDSET
I needed that. I've been guilty of the same error over the last few years, always wondering how much this/that job would affect my time with friends/family, since I considered them in terms of income/time required. Partly because I've been strongly anchored in the slowlane my whole life, up...

What Should I do With this Rare Skill ?

    HOT!
That's a favorite quote of mine too. Here's what I think the issue is with that. Selling shovels, is selling the tool everyone needs to get the gold. The Commandment of Need, among others, is filled there. Taking this statement at face value when put back into the "sell shovels" quote, seems...

What are your thoughts on Morals?

That's deep, I think. As in, if your ideas are good, like, brilliant-good, then they will be so far over most people's heads that you'll have to work to get everyone to accept them? Since they might be considered unorthodox, impossible, inefficient, not worth it, etc? In that case, why do so...

What are your thoughts on Morals?

X 10. This sums it up the idea/execution bit for me pretty well. As MJ says, "ideas are nothing more than a neurological flatulence." As for the question: I strongly believe in absolute morality. I think people know though-if they're being honest with themselves-whether or not the intent of...

    Rich Dad Seminar Exposed (FINALLY!)

    HOT!
Disappointing to see that RK's newest "material" has fallen so far from what he used to be- or at least that's what I'm gathering from the thread. I get tons of emails from the guy every week, always about the newest seminars, most of which I get a "gold code" for to attend free. I guess I'll...

How to make $1000 in a week?

    HOT!
Are you saying you would take advantage of this and use the extra money from selling things for people to experiment with ads, or that you could use the extra money from people selling things you own of value to fund more ads..? Guessing the former.. Nice, template btw. Would it be overloading...
