    EXECUTION
Some shit news for those following along. July 1 came and went and we didn't go live with number 1. Waiting on legal to review the contract for whatever reason. I was given the contract two weeks ago and when I sent it back I was met with "I'm gonna have legal take a look due to the nature of...

Possible Billion Dollar Idea... Can it REALLY happen?

    HOT! IDEA
I think you're on to something here. Maybe attach a bluetooth device to each piece of silverware and create a custom interface tracking the whereabouts of the item. Or how about a silverware check out system once you enter the restaurant? BYOS?

Does anyone use airbnb for an investment property?

    AIRBNB REAL ESTATE
Hey guys and gals, I was looking at Airbnb for a vacation, and it dawned on me if this would be a good way to invest in real estate. I've read a few articles about people doing just that, and it seems very interesting to me. Looking to hear from people more well versed in the RE market.

    So ... who's in B2B?

    HOT!
I'm in hospital B2B sales. I'm about as green as you can get as this is a huge jump from my previous profession. I'll let you know as I start learning the ropes a little more. Overall I'd say it's a pain in the a$$ due to massive barriers, and hospitals are incredibly slow. Good and bad right there.

    MEETUPS

Have you ever walked away from a sale?

I'm looking at this single issue as a "learn and adapt" sort of strategy. The amount of income this contract will bring at a local level is plenty, and on a national level is astronomical, so I feel it is absolutely worth it. I think with some recently learned info this process will not be as...

Have you ever walked away from a sale?

Some good points. It's the elephant, and in all honesty, these two "Aunt Tilly's" are exactly that. Some perspective, both from here and from my POC at the hospital were what I needed. In the end they'll have to write me the check so I'll continue to be patient in the chess game of business.

Have you ever walked away from a sale?

^^^^ I agree 100%. This opportunity will be evolving and once past the gatekeeper I think we will certainly have that ability. The funny thing is, I received an email from another individual within the organization who said, "you guys are a new technology trying to break into a hard market, I...

    Medical app for paramedics

    EXECUTION
Things are definitely starting to pan out. I had a meeting this morning with the second largest ambulance service in the US to basically get their support with sending info to the hospital. This turned into a long bitch session about how they are loosing EKG's(much more important than one would...

Have you ever walked away from a sale?

I agree with the "Take the money" aspect and believe me I am. The only issue I see is, We have non-clinical people calling the shots, which after a meeting today carries much less weight than I initially thought. These two hags definitely have the ability to F*ck up our data collection, but...

Have you ever walked away from a sale?

Hi guys, I had a meeting last week with a soon to be customer. We've been through procurement with the hospital org, and are negotiating the details currently. In the meeting to address use and pricing, I had two people that have zero clinical experience and sat there nickeling and diming the...

    My 1st facebook AD campaign.

    MARKETING
I generated a few likes, but I'm pretty sure I did it wrong. I basically had a couple posts and just boosted them. It's pretty far from the ideal marketing method for our model, but for a B2C I could see the benefit. Not many hospital administrators buy based off facebook ads unfortunately.

    My 1st facebook AD campaign.

    MARKETING
Dang. You did a great job! We do B2B and I tried facebook mostly to get some low level support. I think we spent about 50 bucks and knew going into it this wasn't a very good medium to attract customers.

The single biggest reason why startups succeed

I've applied for several accelerators including Techstarts here in Colorado. We are in an incubator with SoftLayer fr our back end. Takes a little networking to get in and we were given a free back end for a year for the most part. Without that we wouldn't have been able to develop our product...

    Medical app for paramedics

    EXECUTION
I have about 7-8 agencies between the two hospitals on board. Since the hospital is the one that pays, they're the initial barrier. It's free for the agency so getting agency buy in is much easier. The hospitals are helping with agencies so that's helpful too.

Thanks!! This is a pilot, although I have a sales call next week with another one of their facilities. So my guess/goal is to add them until they make it a division standard.

    EXECUTION
I had another meeting this morning with the "Elephant". Made it through procurement and have a go live date of Oct 1. This was a much longer and painful process than the smaller organization. I think the worst part was negotiating the price with two non-clinical people that have zero idea how we...

Attempt #1: First but not Last!

    EXECUTION
I would offer a vested equity portion. Very little equity over a period of a couple years to ensure they stick around for your sake. He can be there during the more crucial, strapped years.

    Learning from Startup Failures

Interesting. I think those are all excuses for either not doing your homework, or not wanting to persevere. Some are just straight up excuses for laziness.
