Ethics: Good Business vs Bad Business

    HOT! MINDSET
Geez ... what happened to this thread? What started out as an interesting discussion about the place of ethics in business and the importance of doing what's right (even if it means making less money) somehow turned into pages of pseudo philosophical dribble. C'mon guys, you're better than...

Newbie Importing and Selling on Amazon

    SOURCING EXECUTION
Seems like you are on to a good thing Ben. Given the difference between the lowest and highest prices, you may find that a higher price point could work out better for you. Have you considered trying something around the $150 mark? If people are happy to pay double that for something more...

Newbie Importing and Selling on Amazon

    SOURCING EXECUTION
Great margins! Have you considered charging a lower amount or would that undermine the fact that you have a better product than the competition? Bummer about the forum, but at least you were able to get some helpful responses before you got banned. A lot of forums are pretty strict about the...

    Critique my sales page

    HOT!
I agree with you on this @csalvato - I wasn't hating on long form, I just think that @Glacier would get better results if he could get clear on what value he is providing and who his target audience is. That being said, after reading through the other thread that you linked to, I don't think...

How do these people ship so cheap?

I believe this question has been answered three times in this thread already. Volume discounts. The more you ship the cheaper it is.

    Critique my sales page

    HOT!
That still doesn't make it a good investment. @Glacier, I think the best idea at this point is to scrap everything on your sales page. Go back to the beginning. Figure out who your target audience is and get clear on what value you are actually providing, then try writing it again.

Good Posture. Something I ignored for a long time.

    HOT!
Whatever works for you @Yeezy! My desk ended up costing more than a $1000 as I had to deal with international shipping (for the frame) and get a top made locally, that being said, still worth every cent in my opinion.

Good Posture. Something I ignored for a long time.

    HOT!
After considering it for a couple of years, I purchased a GeekDesk. Been using it for around 6 months and I rarely sit these days. My posture has improved and my back hurts a lot less... if you work at a desk, it is well worth looking into.

@The Grind this can be a good thing, especially if they are asleep at the wheel. @BusinessBen thanks for sharing your progress here, I'm interested to see how this works out for you. What are your profit margins on this product? Also, how did you determine if there was much of a market for it...

@Nadia, I'm sorry that some men are like that. It saddens me knowing that my daughters will one day have to put up with this crap.

Rather than looking for a girlfriend. Make a life that's awesome. The girlfriend will follow.

    Critique my sales page

    HOT!
@Glacier, you asked for critique, but seem to be taking some of the comments here personally. From what I've seen around the boards, @theag could give you some good advice, but you'll need to listen and be open minded rather than getting all defensive. Maybe you could start by answering these...

The difference is that they didn't have motivation from you @integrity therefore they didn't have the power and hypnotic influence to control the outcome. Seriously, you gotta start paying attention man if you ever want to be rich.

Why'd it take you so long? If you had deeply considered how breathing through your nose could help you lay golden eggs, you too could have created fruition in the mind of giants - for your sake and not mine! ----- Serious Note ----- @insideusisgod it sounds as though you may be losing your...

So you'd like to hear from people who are happy to do all of the work so that you can profit? I don't think it works that way. If you want to be the 'king' and have your 'soldiers' do all the work, then you'll need to have capital upfront to be able to pay them for their services. Read the book.

Corporate world shuts the door on me forever

Absolutely. I'll also add that it's a good opportunity for you to learn how even the smallest of treasonous choices can really mess things up. This is a lesson we all needed (or in some cases need) to learn and it's better that you have a chance to figure it out while you are young and can...

Ethics: Good Business vs Bad Business

    HOT! MINDSET
I think that a lot of service businesses can be very ethical. When I consider the services that I provide my clients and how these services are used, I don't see any ethical dilemmas. Sure, we could twist things around to try and make something that is good appear bad in a certain light, but...
