Pity for Society
OFF-TOPICThis really hit me hard reading this, because I know it's true. It's almost the 2 year anniversary of a deadly accident I responded to outside of the business. A large SUV traveling at 60mph, hit a small passenger car that failed to yield. I heard the accident happen and ran outside as the...- CycleGuy

Pity for Society
OFF-TOPICAnymore it seems very few people have the "fight" reaction in our Fight or Flight response. I quietly and discreetly conceal carry every single day. I hope I never, ever have to use it. I don't want anyone to know I even have it because one of my biggest advantages in an emergency would be my...- CycleGuy

The Epitome of Entitlement
I'm not sure if you all heard about the youtube ad boycott and youtube demonetization that happened recently. Companies ads were showing up on hate videos and mature content videos. The market corrected itself by the youtube advertiser boycott and the following youtube demonetization. It's nice...- CycleGuy

What do you think the impact of self driving cars will be?
HOT!I know you're right, I just hate to think about it. The working class is already in horrible shape. Stagnant salaries, no growth for most sectors. I hate to think about it because it will lead towards a more socialism across the globe. The only reason many entry level workers have not been...- CycleGuy

What do you think the impact of self driving cars will be?
HOT!Once the technology becomes proven and more affordable for the normal citizen it's going to be huge. There's a big hurdle about the fear of autonomous vehicles from people. The fear is strange because people are extremely dangerous. That's why self driving vehicle tech has to be almost perfect...- CycleGuy

Pinterest Expert
INTRODo you think we will see more advertisers moving towards pinterest in the near future? Do they have any type of paid/sponsored advertising like facebook/instagram/twitter? I'm fairly naive with pinterest other than the basic understanding of the boards/pins, since my wife has an account.- CycleGuy

About to shut down my 4 years restaurant business ...
HOT!Thanks for the honesty OP... My biggest questions is how could you be in your mid 20s with no experience in the restaurant your dad had owned your entire life? Most of the people I know who grow up in family businesses have an informal education in their family business well before they are...- CycleGuy

What actually works for Facebook Ads. My own experience!
MARKETING SOCIAL MEDIAUsing a shortened google url sending my facebook customers straight to the item's page on my website has been a great method to help our customers out. It allows them to easily see the full information of the product that I can't include in the facebook post due to size. Google url shortener...- CycleGuy

Grant Cardone "Buying a House is for Suckers"
EXECUTIONI've read some great posts itt. I think the biggest issue is there is no right or wrong answer. Every situation is different. Every regional market is different. I've rented for several years but my wife and I recently purchased our first home. It was a 40 year old home that needed a full...- CycleGuy

Crab Mentality: The Startup Killer (And the cure)
I know some of you are familiar with the book Hillbilly Elegy by JD Vance. He discusses the thoughts of many working class people in this book. Mainly his family. Working class folks tend to try to pull those succeeding down to their level at every turn. Start doing well for yourself...- CycleGuy

China taking over Amazon
Sounds like there is a need for American marketers to learn Chinese then sell their marketing skills to Chinese direct sellers. Maybe even someone like Andy could provide direct courses to Chinese marketers who speak English since they are having issues grasping the paid marketing aspect.- CycleGuy

The margin is the margin for a reason
SOURCINGHow do you guys feel about MAP(minimum advertised price) policies? I feel like it helps the manufacturer maintain a control over their specific product. If you have any type of brand I think it's a must. If new iphones were sold for $99 or given away how many people would think they were getting...- CycleGuy

The Fyre Festival Fraud; Get Rich Fast Providing Perceived Value, Over Actual Value
HOT!lol I can't imagine paying $12,000 per ticket for any type of music festival for a week only. I feel like their are two types of millennials emerging right now. One camp is extremely narcissistic, impulsive, and supported by a golden parachute from their wealthy slowlane parents. They will...- CycleGuy

The Basics of Pricing
NOTABLE! MARKETINGIt's crazy how amazon changed the shipping game. Everyone expects everything in two days and free now. It has created however a customer that is more service oriented in other factors of life as well. I've noticed more people willing to pay an asking price on something whenever you offer free...- CycleGuy

How to get 1 cent clicks on Facebook
HOT! MARKETINGI don't have the best connection but my wifi upload speed is 5MB and it still looks terrible. It even looks terrible on different devices and always clicking "HD" when viewing. I'm thinking that my 1080HD filming with gopro and phone isn't going to cut it. I need to film in 4K and upload to...- CycleGuy

The Basics of Pricing
NOTABLE! MARKETINGIt's crazy the mental gymnastics people perform to get something they want. $5,995 is still "FIVE THOUSAND" right? That 5 bucks is the cutoff sometimes lol.. Another fun thought is people search in even numbers when looking on different sites search functions. "No-minimum but up to $6,000". If I...- CycleGuy
