Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATWell I gave my 2019 macbook away in 2023 because of how awfully slow and bad performing it was. Switched to Linux on a $600 laptop and it outperforms everything. That being said I'm not an Apple snob, I've used them plenty over the years. I just can't stand paying outrageous mark up prices...- StefanNovak

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATFor anyone who's not tried it before, it's super simple to try out Linux, it won't mean you'll have to sacrifice your Windows install. You can either run it virtually ON Windows using something like VirtualBox, or install a linux distro to a fresh cheap hard drive, add that to your PC and just...- StefanNovak

Big Fish in a Small Pond or Small Fish in a Big One? What Builds You Faster?
HOT! INTROHonestly I think people try to avoid interacting with people as much as possible, the stereotype that Londoners are afraid of strangers is very true. That's not to say you won't get the chance to talk to people, you'll meet them through your work, friends and networking events if you go out of...- StefanNovak

Mind blown: Lovable for no-code website development and apps.
HOT! - AI -Check out Build In Public on X if you want to see how low the barrier to entry has gotten lol. So, so many AI LLM wrapper projects are out there now. I think it still retains the Control aspect of CENTS though. Back in the day, you still needed things like a domain to host your site on, a...- StefanNovak

Mind blown: Lovable for no-code website development and apps.
HOT! - AI -I'm with you. We have yet to see how people are going to deal with handling an AI generated project throughout the years as it grows and inevitably has faults. That's where good old fashioned software engineering becomes necessary again I think. A code review is an important part of buying a...- StefanNovak

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATRandom thought, October is almost over but it has been by far the most productive month I've ever had in terms of growing an entrepreneurial mindset. It's beginning to feel like I'm seeing the world through a different lens. A somewhat downside to this is that I've lost almost all passion I...- StefanNovak

Big Fish in a Small Pond or Small Fish in a Big One? What Builds You Faster?
HOT! INTROHey, good on you for getting your life in a great place so young. Here's my opinion as a native Londoner, I haven't had as much success as many others in this forum though so take my advice with a pinch of salt! I wrote a lot to begin with but realised it very quickly turned into a bit of a...- StefanNovak

Still trying to unlock my entrepreneur brain, pretty stuck in Slowlane mode
MINDSETI've just read about a form builder tool called Tally. In 4 years, they've gained 140,000 users, reached $2m ARR this February with a team of 5, and are currently at $4m ARR. The reason I posted this under Mindset is because I would have NEVER considered this as an option. It's actually a tool...- StefanNovak

HOT! EXECUTIONHey, I think we're in very similar circumstances! Best of luck to you, you're already doing great with your first sale. I have to say I agree with @chazwazzer, if you have $1k a month to dedicate to your SaaS I don't understand the need to do website creation, unless it's doing anything you...- StefanNovak

29 going on 30. Benefits of aging.
MINDSETHey man chill with saying "aging", I just turned 29 too  Surely we have all the time left in the world still eh. I'm looking forward to my 30s too, I'm not afraid of it at all. When I was 20 I was no better than a bum, hopefully by the time I turn 31 I should have started my first...- StefanNovak

Side projects are stupid, but I started a SaaS project thanks to AI
HOT! - AI -Totally make sense! Thankfully I'm already way past where I was at the start of this year, where I thought if I just had a cool technical product it would sell itself. Now I see that the writing of the SaaS is a small part of the whole thing. Also in reference to what you said earlier about...- StefanNovak
