22 and I have 100k in the bank, but really not sure what to do with it.
HOT!It depends a lot on what you want and when you want. For me, half a million dollars would be more than enough to do what I want to do. I would put that money in dividend stocks and I would probably not have to work anymore. But this is me. I do not want to be tied to a job for my income and I...- ygtrhos

Will we see an actual war with China?
HOT! OFF-TOPICAll rights come with their responsibilities. Not only free speech. This is just your personal opinion. Seen many enough Americans do otherwise. "Trust me" Yeah I did, like 100%. I would drop all my life experience, my own judgments, personal opinions, my own righteousness, just because a...- ygtrhos

Will we see an actual war with China?
HOT! OFF-TOPICBullshit argument. US has been all over the world and in US everybody comments about Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam without knowing a damn thing about these countries really. Anybody can comment on anything, it is your job to assess if it is worth listening or not. Someone can come from Bhutan...- ygtrhos

Should I get a third master degree?
HOT!I have recently heard that Elon Musk usually asks a lot of stuff to his aerodynamicists or power engineers at Tesla. When I heard that, I said like "oh dude, that guy has a life". So yeah, you are right. If I could revert time 10 years back, I would definitely tell myself to learn how to...- ygtrhos

Should I get a third master degree?
HOT!You gave your own answer. You do not need a PhD in engineering to design something of good value. If you are a huge corporation and want to delve in the smallest details of your product design, you hire people like me. But you do not need a degree. And yes, I realized this in hindsight, after...- ygtrhos

Should I get a third master degree?
HOT!PhD mechanical engineer here. Spent 11 years in university in one of the hardest engineering disciplines. Just to give you an idea: I can program in MATLAB and Pyhton, do linear algebra, understand solid mechanics on a world-class research level. Nobody on earth can question my math skills...- ygtrhos

If money wasn't an issue what would you do with the majority of your time?
HOT! MINDSETI have also seen that you have written down your perfect day. Just my take on this. Asking questions like this or writing down your perfect day are logical ways of finding an answer. You use your brain. Brain solves practical problems like earning money etc. but you cannot solve an emotional...- ygtrhos

Has Trade with China helped or hurt the US?
HOT! RANT@Rivoli You are still making arguments as if the United States can really isolate themselves from the world, put up barriers and can sit there in wealth while ruling the other countries. You talk as if the whole world is dependent on United States or something. That is absolutely not the case...- ygtrhos

Has Trade with China helped or hurt the US?
HOT! RANTMost of your arguments are pointless. Especially "There are plenty of poor countries with millions of cheap laborers.". There are not many plenty of poor countries with millions of cheap laborers. There is China, India, Pakistan and Indonesia. Vietnam, Egypt, Turkey etc. are not really in a...- ygtrhos

CORONA VIRUS: I Thought As a German I Would Survive. Now Im Sure We Are All Going To Die!
RANTlol, you drive a Mercedes bus, only 2 years old and complain about that? What did you expect? The guy himself did his best to make sure nobody comes to the front. Stop being an entitled first world kid. You could have been riding this...- ygtrhos

The Worldwide C0VlD-19 Coronavirus Pandemic Discussion Thread...
HOT!To answer you in short: no, we will not. The virus kills only 2-3% of the infected. These people usually lack hygienic measures and/or suffer another disease at the same time. Just looking at the numbers, I find this corona thing blown way out of proportion. People should care more about...- ygtrhos

East & South Germany , Czech Republic, Poland
MEETUPSHey guys, since I recently moved to East Germany, (Leipzig) I thought maybe I can get a meetup going with TFLers. Who is in for a real meetup? As location, it would probably depend on where people are. I am quite flexible, due to some benefits from my dayjob. p.s. I would be quite glad if you...- ygtrhos

How many Business Failures did you have before success?
NOTABLE! CHATCurrently 2. 1. Amazon FBA with plastic part cups: Very tough competition, low entry. 2. Proofreading agency: I still have not given up on this, I need to find another marketing channel than G Ads. Currently busy with other stuff though.- ygtrhos

Anyone got experience inventing a new polymer/material? Material Science & Engineering
Yes, we are talking about the Bayer that bought out Monsanto. They have talked with BASF once, because it was closer to our place. We lived in Frankfurt and BASF is like 80 km away from us. Bayer and BASF are both chemical giants like Dow or Exxon.- ygtrhos

Anyone got experience inventing a new polymer/material? Material Science & Engineering
PhD mechanical engineer from Germany. Dropping my two cents. I have a friend who has a PhD in nanochemistry. They are working on some material that converts heat to electrical voltage. (reversing 2nd law of thermodynamics, which is possible in nano-level) What they want is to make a viable...- ygtrhos

My FBA journey
EXECUTIONYou do not consider ads. With ads, they come up to 40%. For customs, I always use forwarders anyway. I am not going to organize a whole plane or train for me. I rather mean the German customs and the customs fees that we have in Europe, I would avoid them. I currently do not have an idea...- ygtrhos

My FBA journey
EXECUTIONMy product was a plastic cups & napkins party pack. I was doing something against the trends with throwaway plastics, that is also something I forgot to mention. There might be opportunities, I do not deny it. I still consider choosing a 70-80€ product. Whatever I will try, I will do the...- ygtrhos
