Ask me anything about eCommerce (Ongoing)

    GOLD!
Extremely interesting response. So does this mean that you don't mind products/niches that have a lot of sellers as long as those main sellers have listings you know you can blow away? I personally have been using Jungle Scout to do product research just to give me a general idea of the...

When you walk into a phenomenal thread and see that a new user asked what type of business to start with a monetary limit. My thoughts are with you, dear friend.

** Funny Coincidence - Not meant to Hijack thread ** I had a really strange sense of deja-vu as I was writing my last post on researching knife quality.. I felt like I dreamed about writing it or that I was supposed to write it or something. Weird. Whatever. (Whether or not you believe in a...

Ask me anything about eCommerce (Ongoing)

This is probably considered a hand-holdy question - but I would imagine a lot of guys here might be thinking the same thing. If I'm going to try and make a better knife, the first thing I'm going to be thinking of is the metal used to make it (then maybe the shape, the wood used in the handle...

With the new TOS you're 100% right - it IS a real risk for the business. You're definitely better off at the moment just growing organically / with PPC until amazon specifies what they mean by an "excessive" number of free or discounted items. Does giving away 5 products for honest reviews put...

    HOT! MARKETING
Haha you know what OP - you said something that I thought was a little weird on a different thread (about the app - it was just so random hahaha) and I thought to myself "Hm.. That seems like a weird thing to say." But you know what? IRL I say shit I'm sure a lot of the people around me...

Zonblast was exactly the service I was going to try. I absolutely agree that having a good product is key but I figured I may as well hit the ground running and have a nice ranking and social proof boost from the get go. You do bring up a great point that I (possibly naively) hadn't thought...

FINALLY! From Millennial to millionaire - - in 5 steps! (forget the fastlane)

    HOT!
I'm not sure if you're joking, confused as to where to post that kind of suggestion, or just truly think that a fastlane app would be so painstakingly awesome that you just NEEDED to tell MJ to create one while you saw him in this thread.. Regardless - I'm going to act like you just REALLY want...

I was pretty disappointed when I saw this in the new Amazon TOS. I was planning on and getting excited for trying out a blast service to see what it could do for my rankings.. I have a buddy who used one a few months ago and is now #1 in his category (not a sexy product at all - but there...

[AMA] Importing & wholesaling for resale on eBay.

    GOLD! SOURCING
There have been a few threads on this site that have truly helped me over the years and propelled me to a better place both monetarily and mentally. This has been one of them. I took a lot of your advice from this thread a few months (or at this point close to a year?) ago and used it to build...

Without trying to explain to you why your logic is flawed (I'm pretty sure everybody else has done that).. Let me just ask you. Do you think that if you hired a few employees to help you create MORE websites, you'd increase your revenue? Doesn't being the boss of a web-dev company where you...

Having trouble finding legit suppliers for eCommerce site

Right, I agree with you 100% that importing brand-name products from China is foolish. The chances of actually finding products that aren't knockoffs are minuscule and there are plenty of other legal troubles you may have to worry about. I realize that I wasn't really clear in my last post -...

Having trouble finding legit suppliers for eCommerce site

Hey Walter - I actually bought/read your book a few months ago. While I must agree and admit that you have a plethora of knowledge printed in between the covers, I'm not sure that you have anything in there about sourcing actual name-brands from manufacturers (which I assume is what @holmzee...

Nearly all my decent friends (aged from 22 - 27) are making from 27k to 38k with two or three outliers making 45-60 (while working about 60-80 hrs). It's no bueno out in the "real world". I'd much rather be amongst the ranks of fastlaners, working my a$$ off to take back my freedom.

OOOF! I highly suggest you delete your comment and ask again without saying you "don't feel like" searching for information that would be beneficial to you, before you end up drowning in chum filled water full of sharks who are going to rip you to pieces for being lazy. I'm sure you didn't...

I can't speak for @Ecom man or any other person owning a business for that matter. But I personally always pay for return shipping and honestly if the item is cheap enough, I just give a full refund without a return. The way I see it, I'd rather take a small hit every now and then to keep the...

Best books to read when just starting out

    BOOKS
Do you guys know of any books that kind of cover a broad range of how to really kick some a$$ with internet marketing? I'm looking for something that's more of a how-to guide on say, setting up a FB ad or using Adwords.. Maybe something that could list the different avenues that you could...

There's no debating that - agreed 100% I also completely agree with you @GravyBoat ... It's amazing how much your world opens up when you first learn about marketing, especially Internet marketing and entrepreneurship in general. When I was 17 back in 07 and first got onto FB I saw it as ONE...
