Now is your chance to tell me how much I suck at copywriting

Great feedback, thank you. Thanks for sending me the edit you created, it definitely helps me get a fresh look at the copy. I appreciate you taking the time to help me out. ... Company name for game developer

HEXD is a great suggestion, badass name for a game company. If OP doesn't use it I'll probably register some similar domain just because it's awesome. What else... hexdemon, hexdevil, hexdog, hexdigit, hexdollar, hexdrendor, hexdsouls, hexdelite, hexdlost, renderhexd, hexdrive, hexdor...

Now is your chance to tell me how much I suck at copywriting

    MARKETING
People are already buying my books on Amazon Kindle store. Since they are buyers, I'd like to collect their emails. The books consist mainly of chess diagrams. Illustrated Chess on Amazon Kindle if you want to see for yourself. I've posted on social media and added to the list that way, but...

Now is your chance to tell me how much I suck at copywriting

    MARKETING
My hope is that some people will be motivated by the chance to be helpful. I usually find myself contributing on forums if I just happen to be in the mood to help out. Not everyone will feel like it, but I'll take any help I can get.

Now is your chance to tell me how much I suck at copywriting

I'm sure you can find at least 10 things about the sales letter below that suck. Get at it and send me back to the woodshed! This letter will be positioned as a "bonus article" at the beginning of all of the Illustrated Chess books, to get people off of Amazon and on to my mailing list. Please...

    Question about time blocking

    MINDSET
I do something similar, I have one calendar for my plans and another what I actually did. I don't remove plans that didn't happen, because the calendar item often includes important notes to help me compete the task. When I think "time blocking", I don't think of necessary crossing something of...

    Is anyone a sql guru?

First thing, if you don't know what you're doing and you want to create a database, you probably want to start with an ORM for your language of choice... as long as it's not too complicated, e.g. I like SQLAlchemy, but a beginner would be better off starting with Django or Peewee.

Read 1 book 10 times or 10 books one time?

    I wouldn't call that a good book.

Bringing on a cofounder, years later?

Two founders means two people who have to find motivation to work. When you hire someone, you know the work will get done. And you cut out so many hassles involving vision, decisions, and managing a kind of weird relationship.

    Felix Dennis and ruthless business

Felix Dennis actually breaks down this 1 in a million math very differently in the book, but with the same basic idea: do you actually have what it takes? But his point is that if you actually are committed, then the odds of making it are pretty good, and if you will settle for $10 million...

Always an uphill battle always an uphill battle always an uphill battle

    RANT
Congrats on having a cash flow positive building. Kind of sounds like your problems are temporary, sounds like you're on the right track and one day you can look back on the sacrifices your making now with satisfaction. It'd be nice to make more money in the meantime. I don't know what your...

    Bookstore Inventory

Direct from publishers? Or I guess you're talking about used books? I used to buy tons of book from the public library for like $1 per bag full. I'm sure there are other opportunities to buy books in lots like that, hit up thrift stores and other places that take donations. Otherwise, I think...

Thoughts on Whole Life Insurance as an alternative to banking?

    HOT! INVESTING
Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, I want to chime in because I'm a regular guy (not a financial professional) with a whole life policy. My policy is structured for cash value, it's intended function is to act as a savings account more than anything else. The policy costs me money for the...
