    Hostgator Problems

    WEB/DIGITAL
Is it on a shared hosting account? If yes, then it's possible you have too many simultaneous connections to the database. Shared hosting accounts usually have a limit of around 10 connections at one time. It's a common problem. Ten might seem like a lot but if there's a couple of users on the...

    I Became Aware

    MINDSET
Perhaps you're over-thinking a little. The last sip of coffee does indeed taste bad. There are many books which I read 80% and then suddenly stopped. The reason for this could be that you already got the information you were looking for or you saw that the book was going in a direction or...

    The "Astonishing Secrets" Thread

    GOLD! MINDSET
I joined here a few days ago and just read this entire topic. IceCreamKid, thank you for all your ice cream and love. You shared it with all of us and it was delicious. Now it's time to make my own ice cream with plenty of bread crumbs through it.

That's one way of admitting your mistake. Nice edit.

Learning to Program is STUPID! (or SMART?!)

    GOLD! HOT!
We are not discussing which language is better. You placed PHP in the wrong category just because you dislike it? I suppose Facebook, Wikipedia, YouTube and many others didn't know what they were thinking when they decided to use PHP as their main language. Anyway, this is not what the topic...

Learning to Program is STUPID! (or SMART?!)

    GOLD! HOT!
You called your second category "Backend Services". How does that not include PHP? PHP is not basic at all and there's nothing that can be done in Java or Python that can't be done in PHP. You can't put PHP in the same category with HTML and CSS, but then again you said you're a designer not a...

What's PHP doing in the "Basic Web" category? It's a server side language.

Pupper Master, your last paragraph was certainly not needed. Grzegorz, all your posts in this topic were certainly not needed. 100k, you got some great advice so far. Don't get discouraged. Keep your head up, take what's good from this topic and either make the necessary changes or try...

Learning to Program is STUPID! (or SMART?!)

    GOLD! HOT!
I have only read half of the topic so excuse me if I'm repeating something that's been said already. I think learning basic programming is a MUST for everyone. Coding teaches you to think analytically and helps you to better visualize the concept of synergy: how small parts (or steps) can make...

Why Facebook is a Joke (And various social media/smartphone insanity)

    NOTABLE! HOT! MARKETING
Never had a real Facebook account and never will. I keep in touch with old friends through email, phone and real meetups. I made an account just so I could manage a few pages and do some advertising but other than that, there is no benefit in it for me either. Apart from the other great...

There’s a .00006% Chance of Building a Billion Dollar Company: How This Man Did It

    MINDSET
If you're doing it wrong, there's a 0% of building a billion dollar company. If you're doing it right, it's much more higher than the 0.00006% he talks about. I don't think you should even use the word "chance" when it comes to things like this. If you're in full control of your business...

How I lost 550$ to Google

    HOT!
$550 will not make you rich or poor. Don't worry about them. You can easily make them back if you forget about them. Look on the bright side. It cost you $550, but you won't make the same mistake ever again and you'll certainly be more careful and double check everything related to automatic...

    The haters

    OFF-TOPIC
That's human nature unfortunately. Few are those that can surpass this, and remove jealousy and envy from their thoughts. Being authentically happy for someone else's achievements is a rarity. People would much rather assume the wrong things and put someone down.

    Paying off the Mortgage

    EXECUTION
But they owned your house :) I can certainly see how sometimes investing the money in your business or in something could be much better than paying your debt off, but buying expensive cars and other materialistic things is not usually a good investment. Thus, I don't think all your money was...

    Paying off the Mortgage

    EXECUTION
Such as sports cars? This is why I even asked the question. MJ wast still in "debt" at the time he purchased his Lamborghini. Why not get rid of the debt first and then buy toys and whatever else you want? I just found it interesting that he mention in the book that he still has a mortgage while...
