So I Quit Caffeine This Week... Should You?
HOT!I was pretty addicted to coffee, to the point where if I skipped a bit, then I would get debilitating headaches and nausea. This actually happened on a camping trip where I made coffee in the morning but gave most of it to the person I was with and forgot to drink some. By the end of the day I...- OMDA

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATInstead of driving to the gym the past few times, I've run there and back (a little over 6/10s of a mile). It's in the 90s and humid, but it gives me an enormous high compared to just lifting heavy things. Also, went on my first group bike ride in a very long time. It was casual, but I ended up...- OMDA

Weekly Progress: What will you get done this week?
GOLD! HOT! CHATHe thought it looked cool and also showed me a competitor site which I didn't have the address for but saw sometimes (it didn't quite have the features I wanted and also it's under a foreign domain). Tried registering there about 20mins ago and I still don't have an email activation link and...- OMDA

Weekly Progress: What will you get done this week?
GOLD! HOT! CHATWent ahead and sent a mockup image to a buddy to check it out and see what he thinks. Figure I might as well get some feedback. I can still use it as a portfolio project if it doesn't pan out.- OMDA

Tin Foil Hat Time: Are Aliens Here?
HOT! Weekly Progress: What will you get done this week?
GOLD! HOT! CHAT1. Put my basic app in code from my visual figma files 2. I think I can show the initial app to a couple people I know to ask if they would use it/see what they think. May be able to do this by just tidying up the figma without having to code 3. Don't think I have a great answer at the moment...- OMDA

HOT! CHATSeveral years back I dabbled with Blender after learning how to draw some faces and was able to start sculpting some things. Never got to the point of making characters like that but I was aware of all the difficult things it would take to animate them. Seems like there will be plenty of...- OMDA

Weekly Progress: What will you get done this week?
GOLD! HOT! CHATBeen back for a few days and had to go straight to work at my normal job, heavily jetlagged. All I brought on the trip was a phone and iPad. After two weeks not working on this project and with work taking a priority, my momentum and remembering details of what I was going to work on was very...- OMDA

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATWhen I quit my job and left for europe pre-2020 I got to explore a lot of "touristy" areas further east (like croatia, etc.) in the off-peak season and it was fantastic. There were crowds but not packed in like that. I warned my fiancee a bit about how Paris was, and she ended up realizing why...- OMDA

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATNo joke. We went on a trip just recently as it was the only time my fiancée could get off. Away from big cities, it was great. In Paris, however, I was reminded of how many people there are in the world. Cramming into metros, busses, blah blah. Everyone crammed into the museums, no matter how...- OMDA

HOT! CHATI like traveling and having to use a second language, even thinking in it and struggling a bit to communicate. But, it's jarring when you are in a foreign country far from the US and suddenly you get hit with a blast of pop music top 40 junk. Have we not heard enough of it at home?- OMDA

GOLD! HOT! CHATGoing on a long vacation. My laptop is in for repairs too but I got an app so I can finish doing some design of my project on my ipad while on the plane/in dead time. Keep writing down more ideas for sites/small business to try. Need to focus on the first 1 though.- OMDA

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATCouple observations: Went for a long bike ride today, and yes it was hot (over 90) in direct sun. But I noticed the majority of other people out were on e-bikes, not simple pedal powered bikes. I'm not sure what to make of it yet. Clearly people are spending 3-5k or more on those things...- OMDA
