Advice on buying a business
Walter, I respect your business acumen. i have thought about franchising my business rather than scaling it corporately.. If you had the choice, would you open new locations as a corporate store or franchise. And why$ It just seems like one loses control if franchising, and one has to deal...- million$$$smile

Vigilante's "Mind Your Business" Radio Show
EXECUTIONDave, Your last podcast, Independence Day was truly one of the best. I remember you sharing that story in a post here on the forum and it made an impression on me then. This time, hearing you share that emotional story on your latest Mind Your Business podcast was major league. This...- million$$$smile

Back from a 2 month hiatus
MINDSETI haven't spent much time on the forum lately, (though I did login to PM a member here for info recently). Have been extremely busy during this "shutdown" and really tried to keep all the noise at bay. I've come to realize that at least for me, to keep my focus, I have to turn off some...- million$$$smile

The Worldwide C0VlD-19 Coronavirus Pandemic Discussion Thread...
HOT!I've noticed ever since this pandemic became more apparent around the world and anxiety has risen, we all have seemed to devolve into becoming more critical toward each other. Even on this forum. Sad. This is a great forum but I have purposely relieved myself from posting as it seems that...- million$$$smile

IS COVID 19 THE TIME TO FORGE AHEAD?
HOT!This has been the primary mantra that has gotten me through this. The stark reality of one day watching the cash register ring up ka-ching one after the other and within 48 hours all I'm hearing is chirping. In-store sales have dropped 60%, online orders have fallen about the same. I've only...- million$$$smile

Photos from the Bunker (Our Fastlane Photo Journal)
HOT!Our families 'compound' hidden away deep in the Ozark's hills. 10 miles off the beaten path. 160 beautiful acres almost off the grid. Finally decided to bring in internet 'just in case'. Wild turkey and deer feed down by the year-round creek. Built the cabin last year, and planning on...- million$$$smile

Amazon Prime delivery time is now 29 days!
HOT!Pivot That is the name of the game. This allows Merchant Fulfillment or dropshipping (if available) to be that much more of an incentive. Know that this is all new territory for all of us. I sell both online and in my B&M's and have seen over a 50% drop in sales in both areas. But currently...- million$$$smile

The Opportunists Stock Buying Thread
Hey, don't follow me! I admit, I've done fairly well trading some stocks lately, but I've flat made some real blunders in my own eyes. This market is extremely erratic on an hour to hour basis lately. A prime example of a recent fail for me was on 3/13, I picked up Boeing (BA) @ $162 and it...- million$$$smile

HOT!Thank you Vig. Man, I needed that. Really needed that. Sometimes business decisions, life decisions almost seem overwhelming. I need to take a step back, breathe deep, and take a walk. HOT!I don't regard myself as big conspiracist but something about this just doesn't sit right with me. It just seems odd that there are all of these small countries all over the world with small populations that have maybe one confirmed case. I understand that possibly traveling in and out could...- million$$$smile

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATThis is the sign at the front doors at the local Sears store at our mall today. Surprised they didn't have an attendant selling sheets of tp for the restroom. Maybe that would help bail them out of their financial troubles.- million$$$smile

Podcast to figure out this coronavirus thing.
HOT!Just finished episode 2. I really liked it. Very informative from your POV. I will share this with a number of friends/relatives. I think it would be a great idea to give daily bullet points on the different protocols the major countries are inaugurating and how it is working for them. Great...- million$$$smile

Price Gouger Is Left with Thousands of Products!
HOT! OFF-TOPICYes, at the time there were no reported cases in the US. I sold many masks online. Every single mask was purchased domestically, though I am sure many were shipped overseas. I also donated masks to those that I felt might need them or decrease their stress levels. My prices were similar to...- million$$$smile

HOT!I've cautiously regarded myself as an 'early adopter' of the acceptance that CV would eventually RADICALLY disrupt most of our lives. With that in mind, I've tried to personally prep myself for large scale social disruption. The past few days, I've been planning protocols for the business and...- million$$$smile
