My path to freedom from 9-5 and money

Sounds interesting, will be following you. I have been doing some automated social media posting myself, but more as a fun project. I may scale it up in the next few weeks if I find the time but there are definitely profits there. The hardest part would be cracking the "code" of each traffic...

How do you know when to go from part-time to full time

Been in a similar position as you. You say you love the business end more than the programming, so here's my opinion. Web design is too competitive to build a "business" in. Its a good source of income, if you NEED some. But as TeveTorbes said basically you just create your own job for yourself...

Getting Serious - The Fastlane 2016

    EXECUTION
I would focus on traffic generation first. There are enough products already out there about trading, forex etc. etc. ..just by writing a blog (as I understand thats your plan) you won't attract many people. So just apply to some affiliate networks and start driving traffic to those offers. Once...

    My own way

    EXECUTION
Im 19 myself and I have chosen not to go to college. Its just a question of opportunity cost for me. So basically the time I spent in college is just lost time for me as I don't really learn anything applicable there. I encourage you to make those calculations for yourself, determining what your...

Investing in Assets other than stocks

    EXECUTION
Hey, it totally depends on your investing preferences, available resources and on the desired outcome. 1. Investing Preferences What do you already have knowledge investing in? Do you have a background in RE? Have you ever started a business? Do you know every detail of the stock market? 2...

    Royael's Journey: Embracing The Chaos

    EXECUTION
Hi, I've been quite inactive on this forum so far, and I have decided now is the time to share. So I've been basically building stuff/programming software/starting businesses since I was 14 years old, now I'm 19. Though I had no breakthrough success yet, I am sure I learned a lot on my business...

Personal Address vs. Formal Address in Copywriting

    MARKETING
Hello, each time I write copy for my business I wonder whether I should address my clients personally or formally. For E-Mails I have found that personal works best ("Hi firstname...") but in sales copy on my website I still struggle with that. The problem is basically, that I write mostly...

[ADVICE NEEDED:] Which of these two paths should I take?

Voted B. Why? Because this is the best way to build some fast capital. With the directory decision you would need a really long time until you get your first money in - even if its more passive in the long run. Both options are against the Fastlane commandments (A violates control and probably...

No sales? No money! Ebay starting to get on my nerves. Social media problems :(

    MARKETING SOCIAL MEDIA
For pinterest there is a quite good strategy to make some fast money - so there is this daily limit of following 300 people. You just do this with like 5 accounts which will take you about 1 hour in total. You do that only for people who look somehow like "100-1000 followers" and "200-1000...

    Branding Vs. Selling

    MARKETING
Voted A) Selling. Why? Never go into branding as your "only business strategy". It will fail. Thats because branding alone can't do anything unless you have millions of capital. You can't expect to be a big brand from day one and therefore you have to sell first ALOT before even thinking about...

    Learn SEO or Outsource SEO?

    MARKETING
Exactly. You won't learn SEO at all (probably a big mistake of me) and IF you should need it on occasion (maybe some content strategy) then go and outsource it all the way because its cheap and can be done by nearly anyone (I don't mean really anyone but anyone who has the specific knowledge...

To code or not to code?

    WEB/DIGITAL
    B) A little - thats the way to go. Why? Because delegating/outsourcing is the key for fastlaners but knowhow is also important to even be able to do so. Therefore you should have a very basic understanding of how something works and how something could be improved. Also you should be able to...

Your Thoughts On My Startup That Automates The Address Change Process For Movers

Like this idea, have never heard of it before. The only thing I ask myself is how high your CAC is and how this compares to the 60$ you make from one client (I guess there are no recurring clients ;) ?) The two things I noticed (on my short look on your website) was the pricing which I...

17 y/o New Yorker Checking In

    INTRO
Hey - good luck on your journey! Just one little tip from me (I'm also pretty close to your age): Don't reinvent the wheel (you have heard that probably lots of times but still, its the biggest mistake I see from people who want to get into this whole tech business). Just keep copying and...

    Should I go to college?

    HOT! MARKETING
I have the same question for me to decide (6 months left). What I came up with is that I will definitely apply and just visit it, but then I will gradually just keep doing my own business and just stay there until they literally kick me out. Honestly I do this not especially for the educational...

How much time do you spend hanging out?

    HOT! PEOPLE
I think, the most important thing is to do productive work even if its just 3 hours a day. I don't see any reason for working 12 hours if the efficiency of this work is bad. Therefore I spend about 1 day a week doing things I would sum up as "hanging out".
