    at this point (in my industry) we have a metal buckles on backorder along with labor to make it. if you make stuff, and have something to make it with, then you should be killing it right now.

    Nice answer! word of caution: you lose all control. if this guy controls all of the sales, he can scale it until it gets to the point where you can't produce fast enough... then he'll have to source it elsewhere to keep up with the demand. when demand wanes, he'll keep selling the other guys...

    Do it on the cheap... in this case: buy 1 or 2 items of the brand that you want to sell (yes, pay $399 each, hear me out) and then go to your local gym/marathon/etc... and show guys these things... be upfront with them, tell them they sell for $399 and you are wondering if they would like to try...
