    HOT!
I took a 10 mile bicycle ride the other day, and ended up at this federally protected preserve near my home. It was a great way to get the cobwebs out of my head, get some fresh air and gain an appreciation for the fact that life goes on. Social distancing had no problem as it was just me and...

I thought it might be fun (and light) to create a photo journal that will mark this unique window in time. The only rule is that each post needs to feature a photo, and we'll save the virus discussion for the other threads. Posts can be a glimpse of your day, your sequester location, your...

So I am going to state the obvious, mainly for my benefit but we're going to apply simple business strategy to stay calm. We're faced with a new set of circumstances, and I am mindful of the old book "Who Moved My Cheese." People are resistant to change, and I can lump that in with the...

fast forward a month from now. You have a family of four, there was a run at the grocery store so there are limited resources, and you have no food to feed your family. You are going to go looking for food and will do whatever it takes to secure it. People with guns are simply recommending you...

Non-preppers angry at preppers because non-preppers called preppers panicked until non-preppers panicked and tried to prep but they were too late. People who normally buy 1 week of toilet paper who bought 3 weeks worth last week weren’t greedy or panicked, they were smart. People who mocked...

The rumor mill is flying tonight and I was contacted by two separate people telling me they had good information on a looming federal shut down and quarantine. So much so that I called a high-level friend thats a defense contractor exec thinking that if there was anything to the rumors he would...

My daily carry is .38 but I think I am pretty good on ammo. I need to check though. House is on lockdown and nobody comes or goes without me knowing well in advance. The lock on my doors is for their (an intruder's) protection, not mine.

I heard an audio recording today of someone with supposed insider Pentagon information. It's not vet-table enough for me to even post it here, but if what I heard in this recording is true, there's a possibility of an Italy-type martial law in the United States within the next few weeks. It...

We'll be OK. My kids are OK. My immediate family is OK. I don't see this as apocalyptic (and if it was, so be it). We have a circle of immediate friends, and what I have they're welcome to. We will figure out the next chapters if needed. My viewpoint is perfectly summed up by this old...
