Ha ha! I think you have a point there! I'm used to my perspective... searching out domain names for my client and then getting that and hosting for them before I begin on a site. :) Thanks for the additional ideas there!

If someone else has thought of this, I haven't seen it or read about it. This was something that came to me today after Brian's post, above, about Theme Forest. This is an idea that pretty much formed today just from brain storming. (So, no, it's not a completed site) However, I have...

Yes, that is basically the idea. :) However, there may be times that the designer has to contact the client, for example, when the text won't fit the headline space or a provided image is the wrong dimensions for the photo box, etc. But that still will be included in the price. You did bring...

That's pretty much my idea, Patrick. :) You can pick the template you like, whether a website design, brochure, etc, and you can either take it as it is and set it up yourself... OR we can do that for you. Prices will be right there so there are no surprises or waiting for someone to get back...

Exactly, Idella! I have an idea that will provide templates and customization/install for the templates... and I won't be doing any of the work! (This idea came to me after Brian McShane's post from earlier.) I'm actually working on the main website for it now. :) I'll be keeping this...

@Brian McShane - Thanks for your post... it made me start thinking and it gave me a slightly different idea, but one that I think would be even better because it would be more fastlane by removing the time I have to spend on it once it's completed and marketed! thanks bunches!

Hi Brian and thanks for the reply. They sell templates... and they sell the same design over and over again. I won't be selling templates. I'll be selling custom sites and designs. You order a package from me and we'll custom design it for you. If you buy through Premium WordPress Themes or...

Want to get peoples thoughts on my idea: I am a web/graphic designer and have many designer friends through out the US and world that do freelance work. My idea is to have a website where people anywhere can purchase a a custom, high-quality websites, logos, marketing materials for pretty darn...

This idea should have some potential

    IDEA
Skipper, is your idea real world based or online? How are you arriving at 10k to build the service? I'm a professional web and graphic designer, so I wanted to hear your thoughts on your numbers there, especially if it had to do with creating a website. Also, what are you afraid of...

    Step One...

Oh, and yeah, I know the real estate market is down, but there is always an IN market to be in RE, whether the market is up or down. :)

    Step One...

Hi all! Posting my goals out here in the nether so I can keep a diary of sorts for my progress. :) My steps are a little different than what I've seen, but I think they are good goals to my fastlane. 1. Complete several no or low money down real estate transactions. (Did this before with...

New venture adventure - Diary of the Dane

Hey Dane! Would love to hear more of your plans! And as for beer... I had a beer label design business which I was trying to build into the US's craft beer market. Been kinda slow, but fun! Love BEER! Good luck on your venture!

Can a graphic design studio be a fastlane business?

    HOT! EXECUTION
@maralevin - How is it going? I, too, am a graphic/web designer. I was self-taught and now I'm employed by the leading design firm in our industry! :) I like the company, but I'm looking for my fast lane. I didn't really think graphic/web design could be fastlane since it was too time...

Great example of MJ's lesson-distressed property ride over?

    REAL ESTATE
In markets like this, sometimes you have to think a little more creatively. There is a glaring opportunity just in the fact that there are hardly any mortgage loans to be had... Distressed properties may not be the golden ticket now, but something else can always take it's place. You just...
