    EXECUTION
Glad to see this started, any luck with the prototypes? (I assume that's what the $1,100 was thrown down for?)

How do you feel about Kickstarter?

    PEOPLE
How do you feel about Kickstarter campaigns? Myself, I think this website provides an extremely powerful approach on getting your product off the ground. The model is amazing, and websites like Kickstarter and IndieGogo have funded some extremely successful products to date such as the Pebble...

Wanting to bring my product to the market.

parkerscott, Why not try a Kickstarter campaign? How do other people feel about this? I might make a new thread to discuss, but I myself find it an extremely powerful website and tool for people to take a product from an idea to production, just look at things like the Pebble Smartwatch and...

Progress thread: From idea to store shelf

    IDEA
XOthermic, are these numbers from American companies or ones overseas? I have heard of much cheaper costs for this, but again I am not sure. Did you pay 10's of thousands yourself or is this something you heard about? That seems pretty steep to me, but could be totally precise especially here...

Vick, just viewed a thread about your sunglasses, visited the site, and I've godda say they look slicker than anything out right now! Added my email to the "pre-order" list, and will be picking up a pair ASAP!! Good work!

Wanting to bring my product to the market.

This is great advice, and very similar to the plans I have for my product as well. I had a question on the price, and obviously this can be answered by emailing manufacturers from China and overseas, but I wanted to hear some first-hand experiences. Parkerscott said $1480 for the process here...

    Black friday!!

    EXECUTION
I ended up scoring a killer deal from a manufacturing company that I had been working with prior. Got three large sheets of material I needed to start my product prototype. I know it's being called FastLane Friday, but I think I truly utilized this to my advantage!

    Moving Forward With a Product

    PEOPLE
McCoyH, I have successfully found someone to help me out with this. There are custom plastic molding companies online that will do a one-off of your prototype (no minimum order). I am waiting on a price quote, but there are options for people (like myself) that have no engineering experience...

    Dropping out of college

    HOT!
Exactly what I view college for these days. I am currently 18 and cannot see myself even entertaining the idea of college. In those 4 years wasted, so much more could have been done. Glad to see yet another case of someone finding out that college is NOT where they want to be. Be extremely...

    Moving Forward With a Product

    PEOPLE
Quirky really intrigues me at this point, how they can find basically any material for any product, and get it made. Obviously I am not considering them for my idea, but a process like this is so valuable, to truly be able to take an idea from start to finish.

    Moving Forward With a Product

    PEOPLE
Quality is probably my main concern. How can I pay a company to ship me shitty products, then turn around to sell them to customers? I have contacted probably 10 or more different companies who stock foam in "bulk." After talking to the sales reps, and having them ship samples to me, I think...
