Anyone know computer hardware? Need advice!

    OFF-TOPIC
I've never been to a Microcenter but honestly, unless you're into computers, doing intensive graphics rendering work, or big into gaming, you probably won't notice much difference between a prebuilt solution like you found or building your own. Some people like to have 100% control of their...

Saw this and thought of this thread. Welcome, Adblockers! Please consider turning adblock off when you're here, as content-driven sites like this one rely on ad revenue. Realistically though, I know that's unlikely to happen, and that's entirely fair enough. However, if you like the site, why...

a 3x5 Card with Terrible Slowlane Advice

    SLOWLANE
@Enki LOL at his reply. This is the definition of why the 99% complain, they don't understand. It's over their heads. It's the F*CKin Matrix!

I'd love to read your story @SteveO, are you guys talking about this or a different one? https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/community/threads/one-trick-pony.523/ BTW, his threads created start way back in '07, not sure if it would have been deleted.

Glad my slow-lane job skills could come in handy for someone! Thanks for the rep! Another thing I wanted to mention was that if you plan to remote desktop (Windows MSTSC) to your machine, make sure you get a version of Windows that supports it. I know the new consumer versions of Windows 8...

Jesus man, teach me the ways! That could save businesses thousands on hardware. This will be my next suggestion when someone starts an "I can't find a product" thread!:notworthy:

@benhebert I just ordered some Ciltep, will post results on what I think. Such a good idea, execution, learned a lot from this thread. Almost thinking about going with Shopify now, my checkout process was the most simple thing I've ever gone through.

Can't see anything wrong with that setup. Sure you could spend an extra $500 on better internals, but that money would be better spent on screens, ergo chair, or even a nice keyboard/mouse. That setup will still be powerful for years to come.

At the end of the day, this is all you can honestly ask for. Rep transferred to @cashis for finding the solution.

Jealous, but I would honestly stick with 3 screens of the same size, as mentioned here already. Do the SSD, don't do a RAID setup (I've seen too many of them fail, and at that point you're usually SOL as far as data recovery) SSD's are under $1/GB now, pick up a 128 or 256, put your daily...

Why is it OK for you to STEAL from me?

    HOT! PEOPLE
Personally I am with @LibertyForMe on this, I have never EVER found any sort of value from an ad. Years and years ago I remember the spammy $#!+ that would pop up on my screen, and I know that it's gotten better over the years, but to this day, I do not enjoy seeing most (if not all) ads. In...

That's a real shame guys, I hope you're happy. This forum isn't like other SEO forums and IM forums, at least give the guy the benefit of the doubt. He's already provided value here more than some of the others bashing him.

    Slowlane Coworker Passed Away

    MINDSET SLOWLANE
To me this reveals the most about the slowlane rat race. If not for this, why else would you even have sick days/vacation time? This should be taken off as a sick day, or even just given to his son. Wow. Some jobs are worse offenders obviously, but this is another reason why I want to have...

If you can manage the Insider's Subscription, these is so much good information there. It dives more in depth (generally) and reveals processes behind successful businesses and other member's ventures. Plus you get to join in on the calls! Worth every dime IMO. Welcome to the forum also!

This works as well, I actually have an entire seperate email account that I use for anything like this. I do in fact check it from time to time as well, but you can really tell which companies/businesses/etc are filling up most of the space. If I have one takeaway from this it's that when I...
