How do you keep yourself motivated on doing something?

    HOT!
I think of what I want to be remembered for, how much we owe the Earth and its people for our existence, and how little time we get to make a difference.

Oh, I think it's just the right amount. Its a great tease for what lies Inside. I may have to wait 'till the end of the month to get that subscription, but its now a must have instead of a nice to have.

What did you learn in college?

    HOT!
@Square1Hype Sorry. still some residual brainwashing I guess :) My real class was learning to work and motivate myself without a parent, and later on being independent. though I wasn't working for myself, I had to hustle to learn to stay in the city I wanted to live. Classes in general were...

What did you learn in college?

    HOT!
I learned alot in school, but it was mostly ancilliary to my classes and more to do with life. That being said, my slowlane job is a direct result of my education. I wouldn't have it if I didn't have my Masters. I agree you can learn most of what you need to outside of school. That being said...

Don't Follow Your Passion! (feat. Mike Rowe from "Dirty Jobs")

    MINDSET RANT
Well, that's fine and dandy. I didn't need hope. Maybe if we are lucky the robots will be nice, and assign us totally useless but fulfilling careers at birth.... Robot sales?

Thanks @Ubermensch ! That will give some focus for the sales gig search. I'll do some research into companies today. I'm in Toronto, so I know with the government's new environment plan efficiency should be hopping.

Thanks for the advice @Drive2Riches - I've put it into action. Just called up a guy who was looking for telemarketers on Indeed, and it went quite well. Fits my ideal schedule to a 'T' as well, which means I may not have to give up somethings that I was willing to. I did open an Amazon seller...

Hit the quarter life crisis - need advice

    MINDSET RANT
These people here give great advice, but Im going to add my two cents anyway. If you fee like your work is a prison, then that is not going away. I feel like that too, and just figured it was a feeling that would pass with time. It won't. You need to start planning your next move. You are in...

Second week. Slower week than last week, but I was pretty sick. I spent the majority of it in my slowlane job, sniffling and trying not to go home. We forfeit $1000 bucks for using a sickday, which is the kind of policy you have when your volunteer Board has never actually run anything, but...

    HOT! MARKETING
I agree with everyone else here. Major problems are 1) Loading time 2) Invisible black 'X' in contact us box, though it now appears at the bottom of the page, which is better :) Also, I read this today, I think it might help...

    Crabs in a Bucket

    MINDSET
Most people don't know what they are talking about. Most 'leaders' are just keeping to tradition, not knowing what works, hoping that it all works out. And when the masses see someone who dares to go against the grain, who dares to point out the flaws, they yell at them to step in line and keep...

    Music that Motivates

    HOT! MINDSET
When I'm working, I can't listen to music with lyrics. But the Skyrim soundtrack does a pretty good job of getting me in the mood to attack problems like a magically charged pseudo-viking.

    NOTABLE! HOT! BOOKS CHAT
Just finished 'Get Smarter' by Seymour Shulich, who is Canadian billionaire and philanthropist. It had some goods tidbits for getting the best out of life, and I enjoyed the appendix discussing gold mining and mineral royalties. I always like hearing about the type of big business that involves...
