How do I get my first Web design client?
MARKETING WEB DESIGNIt's extremely difficult right now, or anything after 2020 really. I remember making cold calls for WD just to get over the fear back in 2019 and somehow had 4 of 10 businesses I called wanting to get into longer calls and get work done. By the time I re-started that in 2022 looking for new...- RicardoGrande

Surprisingly simple stupid businesses- that somehow work
GOLD! HOT! IDEAThis one is less about revenue and more about gumption, finding needs, and daring- the things that warm MJ's heart. So we have Caddix... it's a shoe company (startup?) We have a: - college drop out - not an amazing athelete, but loves football - hated watching his favorite players get...- RicardoGrande

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATBuddy of mine had random people stealing bamboo (invasive) from his property. He started saving the bamboo he was already cutting down and collecting shoots and started selling them at local markets and FB, turned into a surprisingly good little side hustle for the 15 or so hours a month he puts...- RicardoGrande

HOT! CHATRuh roh, happy I saw this coming awhile back and shifted out of stocks and into better positions and some long term holds that can survive a re(de?)pression, but things are already quite bleak, I don't want to even imagine what else could go downhill.- RicardoGrande

First time in food manufacturing. I need help!
SOURCINGThis is solid info, I am curious though, when I was looking for commercial kitchens for myself, almost all of them were "Rent out time, bring your own ingredients/packaging" type setups. It sounds like there's some with staff or a food scientist you could rent time from? I found a small scale...- RicardoGrande

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATUpdate: I did in fact get a talking to and disciplinary action :) A long talk with big higher ups and the usual "This isn't a chastisement :D" chastisement. I put out some hypotheticals and some proposals for what I could do to reduce ambiguity and so this wouldn't happen again- basic...- RicardoGrande

First time in food manufacturing. I need help!
SOURCINGHey Moose, welcome. Ignore these two other jabronis and their GPT-@$$ replies, google the term "getting started in CPG" or "CPG(Consumer Packaged Goods)" and there's plenty of good information. Legal stuff is here or there but you probably won't need to worry about that until you're past your...- RicardoGrande

HOT! CHATIs there a reason why bad managers always resort to "Well I TOLD YOU X!!!" and going into hysterics about manager/managee relationships as a fake reason for blowing up about micromanaged crap when they're having diaper tantrums? In this case, I didn't even question anything or rebuke anything...- RicardoGrande

GOLD! HOT! IDEAWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Glad you deem it as such, I've been running across stupid simple businesses like these for years and would have a "wow" moment and then forget about it. GOLD! HOT! IDEA"Hmmm, the corona virus is going around and I don't want to touch things but I also want to make money, what if I got a factory to just make a bazillion of this CAD model doohickey I have in brass to let people interact with their environments without directly touching it?" Goes on to make 1m$...- RicardoGrande

HOT! CHATMentioned going back to finish my degree in an earlier post. Wanted to do it the smart way and found forums of people that try to "speedrun" degrees with degree hacking. Okay cool, I've already saved myself a clean 5k using sophia.org to get 9 college credits for 100$ instead of re-taking some...- RicardoGrande
