Exiting the cubicle farm and taking Web-Design full time

Got a surprise (albeit pro-bono) client last night. Biggest pro to re-doing his current site is that it's just a simple landing page, he wants to grow it in the future, especially since he has like 20+ employees, and he's based out of the next big city over so if I can kick some butt with this...

Alright, been working on the lead gen package and housekeeping on two client sites, still expecting a payment for the bigger one within the week which is NICE. I still have yet to get the FB ads up, a few people took a look and offered me advice and I... was going at them all wrong  . What...

Two cents from someone recently laid off from what was an absolutely terrible dayjob- In a way you're completely right. Not every place will be a good 100% let alone 80% fit. You will deal with two-faced liars, you will deal with emotionally incontinent people, you will find yourself dealing...

View: https://youtube.com/shorts/zgO4O_arlQg Man, we always talk about looking for "pain" on here... this guy got fed up with using nail clippers or knives back in 2014 when he dropped his knife fighting an entire shark he caught on the beach while fishing and almost impaled his foot on it...

Have you ever lied for a sale?

    HOT! QUESTION
Some of the kids I've seen have the quickest starts in ads or slinging websites, based off what they told me, misrepresented almost everything. One guy said he'd build "elite lead-capturing landing pages" that would make their client's inbox "EXPLODE", but told me he was taking roughly 600$ a...

IceCreamKid needs no qualifying from me but even when I was heavily calling I ran into the same numbers althought post-meeting or proposal flaking was a thing too. ...part of the reason I dread going back to cold calling, but I'll do it if I have to.

Alright, I've created 3 "ugly" ads, I don't know if they're too ugly, plugging those into fb ads, setting my age group, and running that with a 30$/day adspend budget. Will report back with how this one goes. Took time yesterday to reach out to more contacts following @Andy Black 's "back...

I knew about this in commercial buildings, especially older business parks, but even new homes seem to have that problem. Like two years ago my parents were telling me about how they paid north of 1,000$ to have their AC ducts sprayed with God knows what to kill mold, followed by a cleaning...

This phrase is overdone to death on this forum but truly, great thread, I liked how some of the other guys pitched in with their experiences doing calls/ads. Just built some creatives, trying to make something ugly and thankfully my city is large enough not to step on Zack's toes. I'd put...

Mentioned it in my progress thread, but I got layed off today. It's weird because at that job I would get frustrated to the point of cleaning out my desk and having my backpack on my shoulder ready to storm out, but I let a voice of "reason" win over and I'd try to tough it out. I toughed it out...

Hey the thing @MJ DeMarco mentions could happen but I never thought would happen to me happened... I got laid off  ! I'm not sad, I feel free and see colors in the sky and trees again lol, but I'm really frustrated not having the guaranteed dayjob income. On the flipside, I feel great not...

I was randomly working on a project on focus mate and incidentally ran across a lady who not only runs her own very successful personal product company, but said she was friends with Tom Bilyeu of quest nutrition's wife, as in, they hang out. Absolutely incredible.

This is doing the rounds on twitter rn because microsoft has been on a layoff spree for the past month and for every amount of laid off U.S. jobs, they immediately apply for almost the full amount back in H1B visas. I follow some more esoteric tech accounts that track and report on H1b use/abuse...

Thanks guys, believe it or don't I've been locked in (but still handed reffs for stuff outside of my niche) for awhile.
