How My 19-Year-Old Son Built an $8K Web Design Business in 60 Days
GOLD! WEB DESIGNALRIGHT, fellow U.S. WDs running ads. I kept calling "leads" and they'd act bewildered saying they'd never filled out my form and didn't have a clue how I got their number or e-mail. I thought the first 6 were people getting cold feet, but I just had 4 out of 4 this morning do the same thing...- RicardoGrande

Exiting the cubicle farm and taking Web-Design full time
HOT! SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGNFb lead form based on what I've seen from videos and what people in Mark's thread have talked about, I believe one guy in there tried to drive to a landing page but had rather low conversion, possibly because meta secretly de-prioritizes that generation method.- RicardoGrande

How My 19-Year-Old Son Built an $8K Web Design Business in 60 Days
GOLD! WEB DESIGNHaaaaaaa yeah have the same thing here, I finally got through to two today but one guy said he's broke so I just advised him on how to set up his GMB for some leads and the other froze any talks until next year (yeah it's dead) because his wife wanted to go on vacation which ate the funds for...- RicardoGrande

How My 19-Year-Old Son Built an $8K Web Design Business in 60 Days
GOLD! WEB DESIGNI have, if you check my main WD progress thread I made over 3,000 cold calls to scrape up work in 22-23. Mark's been helping me by double-checking my copy revisions, creatives and metrics and he said they all look good from his end. I think there may be a very real population different between...- RicardoGrande

Exiting the cubicle farm and taking Web-Design full time
HOT! SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGNoh boy it's been almost 2 weeks! Fb ads: The Wonderous Mr. Mark has still been giving me pointers and helping me understand the metric, ads are closer to a median 15$ cpc now which is incredible. Unfortunately, I'm about 750$ in without any clients. Just a lot of weird or seemingly mentally...- RicardoGrande

How My 19-Year-Old Son Built an $8K Web Design Business in 60 Days
GOLD! WEB DESIGNWhelp, almost 500$ on this current daily campaign at $27 or so a day, about 750$ spent on FB ads total for 35 leads but not a single client. I still can't tell if I personally am cursed or if fb is delivering my ads to hungover people or kids on their parents phones. About half were no answers...- RicardoGrande

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATLove mine, I do a very lazy mix where I dump fairlife, 4-6 raw eggs and some vanilla extract+stevia in and I'm off to the races (I'm not spending 30 minutes making custard first in a double boiler). A few guys suggest coconut milk to saturated fat-maxx but I don't need any additional calories.- RicardoGrande

How you WIPE your WINDSHIELD? #rant
MINDSETThe words GOLD get thrown around a lot on this forum for any old piece of "Guys just like... start a business LOL" or "I made 59$ dollars dropshipping peruvian guinea pig diapers" but this right here from Zack is probably one of the most cutting personal anecdotes and true pieces of life advice...- RicardoGrande

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATIf I have more one more MFer that picks up the phone and is rude and asks for a call back later just to ghost, I'm totally hiring a hot blonde office assistant that is totally not me using an AI voice changer to start making my calls for me. Modern problems require modern solutions. ;)- RicardoGrande

Exiting the cubicle farm and taking Web-Design full time
HOT! SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGNAlrighty Ads: More tweaks, slightly more leads but at about 30$/day of adspend. I can float this with extra severance I got for about another 3 weeks but no solid leads or work as of yet. Interestingly enough, I've had some characters come through - One guy picked up, then his wife swiped the...- RicardoGrande

Weekly Progress: What will you get done this week?
GOLD! HOT! CHATLast two weeks: Network and run ads, apply for jobs every now and again... DONE. Learning FB Ads has been a big undertaking, I've worked in the system/IT sector all my life and even I am running into surprises and blow ups with the setup and campaign runs. Upcoming week: Continue to run ads and...- RicardoGrande

How My 19-Year-Old Son Built an $8K Web Design Business in 60 Days
GOLD! WEB DESIGNFor the others reading this thread wondering how this works in the u.s., Mark was kind enough to advise me and I've tried a couple things. Latest campaign wrapping up today. 3 campaigns, 3 leads a piece. Word to the wise for U.S. bros- make sure to run the campaign for English speakers, 4 of my...- RicardoGrande

Surprisingly simple stupid businesses- that somehow work
GOLD! HOT! IDEAWhat I got from reading up on them, is that they sell to LE and the LE would now be able to quickly and lethally respond to school shooters, this preventing a future Uvalde situation. Both sides in the Russo-ukraine war have been using armed FPVs to devastating effect, it's dystopian cyberpunk...- RicardoGrande

Surprisingly simple stupid businesses- that somehow work
GOLD! HOT! IDEAWow, should've seen this one coming. So back in 2019 at a TFF meetup, we were sitting across the table from the great @Runum when he had a somber look and addressed us, some of the younger members that were at the table and still floundering for a solid business idea: "I know you guys are...- RicardoGrande

HOT! SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGNAlrightyyyyyyy Ads/leads I DID have two meetings and put out two HIGH dollar proposals, for the second guy, he asked me to meet up after a meet up, turns out he's the freakin' COO for a construction firm and he said he was about 2 page errors from drop kicking his laptop. How My 19-Year-Old Son Built an $8K Web Design Business in 60 Days
GOLD! WEB DESIGNHey man you still tried, I've been running, at about 160$ ad spend across two other test campaigns as of today, another one started this morning, only about 6 leads (one was a non starter), 1 other picked up but wanted a call next month, and no pickups on the other 4. Mark was kind enough to...- RicardoGrande
