    New Forum Sponsor (Semmy.com)

The initial landing page looks very cheap/scammy. The screenshot of the video lander is pixelated, you have a banner for your own product flush against the top navigation for some reason, and all your images are cropped oddly. The click-through lander is much better and I would make this your...

Those with a 9-5, how much work do you do? What do you do?

    HOT!
1.) I wake up at 5:30 and get 2 hours of 'me time' before work. 2.) I work from home for a large Saas so my day job is an education in itself.

Using Wordpress for commercial business? (No coding experience)

    WEB/DIGITAL
Also, if your business can run off one of the services, you probably don't have much of a business. Skip to 1:50

Using Wordpress for commercial business? (No coding experience)

    WEB/DIGITAL
I don't think you have given enough requirements to really give a recommendation. Wordpress, Weebly, Wix, etc will all work for a proof of concept, but you might get painted into a corner if you want to start charging for memberships or adding any other features. Wordpress is great for a blog...

    Tradesmen in the Fastlane

    NOTABLE! EXECUTION
I had my roof replaced this past fall and did some research on the roofers for lawsuits, reviews, etc. Nearly all of them owned 500k+ custom homes. I went with the guy who could actually return a phone call and had a professional website. The day of the scheduled replacement, a sub-contracted...

    Tradesmen in the Fastlane

    NOTABLE! EXECUTION
I'm a software developer/architect but used to work for a building products software company (and now a large marketing saas). I'm currently vetting an idea a bit - It's a huge market that will only get bigger with the baby boomers retiring and a more tech savvy generation coming in. Do you own...

    Medical app for paramedics

    EXECUTION
Shouldn't you have a dev server that is not HIPAA compliant with dummy data and a prod server that is? Seems like a pretty big cash burn to be paying for this just to demo the software.

Yea, somebody had to calculate that shit

    OFF-TOPIC
I wish I appreciated this stuff earlier in life. I've been going back and learning math on wikipedia/khan academy and it's amazing how triangles relate to radians and pi and onto calculus and rates of change. Either I was asleep or my math teachers in high school did a terrible job showing the...

Oilfield Worker Wondering What to do With Limited Time

    INTRO
1.) Figure out ways to make the rigs faster/safer. Learn cad and study licensing/patenting in your 1-2 hours off time. Sell pick axes, not mine for gold. 2.) Figure out ways to reduce the HR/recruitment cost of the rigs. Start a rig employment agency and recruit kids out of high school. Have...

Quick Hustle: How I made $2,000 on Teespring

    HOT! SIDE HUSTLE
This is about one notch above MLM. The people making money are the one's selling info products on how to make $10k a week selling t-shirts. I'm tempted to start a site of all the shitty designs.

QUESTION: What is the process for finding a MARKET (not a 'PRODUCT THAT WILL SELL')

Agreed, it is also a great way to get headlines/copy, find problems in that market, and see who is already spending money in the market. If someone advertising 3 months in a row in a magazine, they are likely making money on that ad.
