How do you price and create prices for your software offers?

    SAAS / APPS QUESTION
It is the same idea but for a different technology, more focused on mobile. It's for Flutter. I've only seen one commercial boilerplate so far. There are a couple of open source ones, but you can't even make a great one between all of them. The closest is FlutterFlow, which gets more negative...

How do you price and create prices for your software offers?

    SAAS / APPS QUESTION
Yep, early adopters could help improving and requesting the features that they actually want. Even being a developer myself and being able to guess features quite well, it's always better to listen to the final users.

How do you price and create prices for your software offers?

    SAAS / APPS QUESTION
Agree that first free tends to work out. Some people disagree though and recommend shipping paid too from the beginning, to avoid false expectations later. I'll look Crossing the Chasm up :)

    Is too much perfectionism good?

    EXECUTION
Sounds like a low effort thread. "Hello, this is my problem. Bye". What are you even trying to get out of this thread? BTW, Actionpreneur sounds a bit contradictory with perfection paralysis.

How do I source web developers on no budget?

    MEETUPS
Another one of those looking for some innocent soul to spend months on THEIR idea, for free. Com'on guys.

How do you price and create prices for your software offers?

    SAAS / APPS QUESTION
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I've actually seen that too. Some guy charging $800+ for his tool also offers a free sample if you give away your email address. Maybe that's the way, but making the Free tier more explicit. One that would bug me is "why would I buy this if I can't see a...

How do you price and create prices for your software offers?

    SAAS / APPS QUESTION
Say I'm building a piece of software to help developers jump into implementation and save weeks of setting up a new project by providing them with a code template builder. I'm struggling to think how to balance releasing an minimum version early and offering several pricing options at the same...

My online course - results are below expected

    QUESTION
I'm by no means an expert at marketing, but I'd focus on Twitter. Maybe there are enough developers on Facebook, but the audience looks stronger on Twitter. It's probably one of the few cases I'd say Twitter is where your audience hangs out. BTW I was on your same boat, considering making a...

Learn to Code or Drag and Drop?

    SAAS / APPS WEB DESIGN
Are you building a SaaS? Then learn how to code. Are you building a mainly static website? Then learn drag & drop.

The next Big Thing is quietly being assembled by Google...

    HOT!
I'm thinking of building some code boilerplate in Flutter, it's getting momentum and actual adoption, finally. I've already seen one company selling this for a similar price to SaaS boilerplates.

Game development - is it good path to become rich?

    IDEA MINDSET
I'd be interested in seeing how this works. The closest is a wishlist on Steam, and it only means that 40-50% (if I recall correctly) are going to open their wallet when the game goes out. But it won't go out in less than a few months months, and that's for very basic stuff. The less basic stuff...

Unity Game Engine just exercised their power of control that would destroy Indie Game Scene

    HOT! RANT
BTW I just wanted to do a quick unsolicited campaign for open source software in general. I tried out Blender (3D modelling software) at uni over a decade ago. It kind of sucked. I picked it up 2 years ago, and I was blown away by the quality they achieved. The UI was great, the tool is stable...

I just download it from their website and run it as is. It's supposed to work fine that way.

Unity Game Engine just exercised their power of control that would destroy Indie Game Scene

    HOT! RANT
I've already seen some people returning to the fold. As I expected, a candy, an apology, and a "I won't beat you again" promise, and all cool. They'll rant again when the next slap comes up, but there'll be another candy, another apology, and another promise. Unity looked doggy as F for years...

Unity Game Engine just exercised their power of control that would destroy Indie Game Scene

    HOT! RANT
Yeah, but somehow it does weird things. So did Unity, but I was expecting that. Maybe it's my desktop environment (although most software works fine).

Damn you @EmotionEngine , now I want to make a game in Godot  I was trying it out the other day, but it doesn't work very well on my Linux setup. I have a couple of problems with the window and popups. Maybe it's better on Windows.

Can I start software company without money?

    SAAS / APPS
Money: Get a job, or a better paying job, and save. Team: Network with people with the skills you need. Eventually, you'll find people worth teaming up with. Knowledge: Google is your friend.

[Progress] Developing My Sleep Tracker Game

    HOT! EXECUTION
I think mobile is a tricky one. There are engines that are more interesting for mobile (started as mobile game engines, then evolved to support other platforms). Some others have rather poor mobile support. I would probably choose one or another depending on my main focus. Generalistic engines...

Building a video games business from scratch

    EXECUTION
I had a look at Roblox long ago. Some guy here on this forum was making Roblox games and making money, actually. Most games look like those Lego games, lol. I wasn't quite sure I could make that kind of game to a good quality. I'm going to look into it again and see. I didn't know about Fornite...
