ChatGPT AI is a huge breakthrough, a Google killer

    - AI -
It looks like GPTs are quite popular: View: https://twitter.com/sama/status/1724626002595471740

ChatGPT AI is a huge breakthrough, a Google killer

    - AI -
Maybe it depends on what we are trying to make then. Anyway, as you say, this is still in beta, it should only improve :)

ChatGPT AI is a huge breakthrough, a Google killer

    - AI -
Could be. I was also thinking about this as a REST API: first get the scaffolding of the info. Then expand on point by point with extra queries. But this wouldn't work for what I was trying to do (generate travel guides I could turn into a PDF), users would need to wait for too long. Maybe I...

    AI + CODE = SOFTWARE?

    IDEA SAAS / APPS QUESTION
I'm sure many millionaires will disagree with you in a couple of years. It's a double edge sword for sure, but plenty of people give up control and still make more money than most of us combined. I wouldn't discard it or tag it as shit idea just because it's built on OpenAI, just being aware of...

Google requires 20 testers for Android personal developer accounts

    RANT
This is the main reason why I love the web. If you've got a good deployment pipeline, changes go live within minutes. Software that goes on digital stores, specially mobile ones, is quite a pain.

ChatGPT AI is a huge breakthrough, a Google killer

    - AI -
Kind of disappointed with this GPTs thing. I created one and it was ignoring instructions. It even removed some of the (non-conflicting) features when I instructed to add some new ones. And the actual prompt using the GPT was so slow, over 40 seconds to generate a medium example. Maybe they'll...

Google requires 20 testers for Android personal developer accounts

    RANT
There are quite a few appeals for users, unfortunately (trusted digital store, native experience, not having to type your credit card again, etc.). For developers, not so many.

Google requires 20 testers for Android personal developer accounts

    RANT
Yeah, I've read a couple of people on Reddit suggesting this as well. I wonder what tricks people are going to come up with.

ChatGPT AI is a huge breakthrough, a Google killer

    - AI -
Okay, I'm on the hype pony, I just renewed my Plus subscription. Time to have fun with custom GPTs.

Google requires 20 testers for Android personal developer accounts

    RANT
Another rug pull (a.k.a. using Control to screw you up). Now Google will require Android developers with personal accounts provide 20 testers for 2 weeks in order to release their apps. Wait until they do the same for small businesses. I spent two weeks retraining into mobile and finishing up a...

Bootstrapping a Video Game business from a third-world country

    EXECUTION
Hey, I just found this thread. Your progress is incredible. How is the game looking, still about to lunch as per your 6 months target around 4 months ago?

ChatGPT AI is a huge breakthrough, a Google killer

    - AI -
I find ChatGPT really useful for a variety of things. But I'm not sure this is the new high-speed avenue for making big money for the majority of us. Maybe I'm plain wrong, but this feels to me like a crypto bull run, with everyone and their grandmothers creating prompts and talking about the...

    Work balance during weekends

    HOT! MINDSET
I came across a couple of videos of Alex Hormozi and Alex Becker this week. On those videos, they describe this same thing you are describing: it has to become an obsession. They go as far as saying that it will not work unless it becomes an obsession. Funnily enough, this is what I'm missing...

Should I start a personal brand

    IDEA
This. There are so many so-called "indie hackers" (hate the name, but whatever) on Twitter building in public, a.k.a. sharing their progress. Some started with just a couple hundred followers, and now they've got thousands, all by building in public. I wish I had done this myself earlier.

    HOT! MINDSET NEWSLETTER
Thank you for the reminder. Some times, we are never content because we want the Fastline life and yada yada. First world problems. Funny thing is some of the these people make more money they even need already. No need to give up on big dreams by any means, but good to remember that we aren't...

    HOT!
Is anyone, by any chance, looking for jobs or clients to work with Flutter? I keep hearing that the job market is overall dismal, despite the number of apps written in Flutter on the stores having almost doubled in a year. I think Flutter is a cool technology, but adoption seems rather slow...

    GOLD! HOT!
This reminded me of this tweet: View: https://twitter.com/AlexHormozi/status/1712899802843824288 There's a thin line between the above and falling into the do what you love trap. If there is no intersection between our interests and what people need, there will be no money coming in. Getting...

Unity Game Engine just exercised their power of control that would destroy Indie Game Scene

    HOT! RANT
Not sure about this. I agree with most software being fine on the web. But things aren't that simple even for something like Figma (it works better as a desktop app compared to the web version). Games are trickier because they need to make use of the hardware without the overhead of a browser...

How do you price and create prices for your software offers?

    SAAS / APPS QUESTION
Very cool! I'll do some research. Thanks a lot for sharing :) I'm definitely thinking too far, still trying to combat that. Sadly, it's in my nature. The software is not live. I've been evaluating more in detail... still easily 3 months full-time. Hopefully I'm just bad at estimating. I don't...
