Get educated online? a bad/good idea?

    IDEA
You can get the knowledge, but you may not be able to put it to use. In my province you need a license to provide engineering services to the public, or even to call yourself an engineer. Engineers may be Libertarian in nature, but they are also conservative. You are not very likely to be...

    Aimless 23 year-old college graduate

    INTRO
I've found learning to love the small things very conducive to entrepreneurial ambitions. It means you see risk as less of a risk, because it doesn't take much to be happy. You can afford to take more chances in life if you disconnect from the golden handcuff mindset, and those chances in turn...

Found location I'd like to lease....

Dreams are awesome, but what your wife may not understand is that the taking care of children and operating a child care business are not the same thing. She will not only be taking care of children, but dealing with a metric ton of crap that comes with it, so much that it could very well...

    Rigged For The Rich?

    HOT!
Of course the system is rigged. Why wouldn't it be? You can either complain about it, accept your place as a cog, or read the damn manual and learn how it works. Nothing built by crazed irrational humans is going to be perfect, so the ‘system’ isn’t going to be perfectly rigged. There are...

Just got married... Now I feel restricted and powerless

    MINDSET RANT
Sorry here myself. I didn't intend for my post to come off as corrective or judgmental. I've had experiences with both points of view, and was just sharing one perspective among many that happens to work for me.

Just got married... Now I feel restricted and powerless

    MINDSET RANT
Depends how you think about it. The believe in a single person who is right for you, perfect in every way, can keep you looking for some magical perfection that doesn't exist. Everyone is flawed, everyone is crazy, and everyone has issues. You are going to have a change a little, and so will...

Shopify case study - importing glasses made $2400

    HOT! SOURCING
I'm getting the feeling that number of extra services this guy used are not strictly necessary, and that this article is stuffed to the brim with affiliate links. Not that this devalues the basic content, which is pretty awesome.

Best cold mail after reading 57 cold mails templates and 1930´s books

    MARKETING FTE
I found the version I did for 99 cents in the Kobo store. It was in this version. It might be in all of them, but I am not sure. The book is worth a read if you've never done so!

LED Industry Growing at $10 Billion a year in USA Alone

    HOT!
Yah, another reason to hate CFLs. I was working at Home Hardware when they came out, and once we once had a dumpster full of florescent lightbulbs (big ones). No one else but seemed to understand that all that stuff inside them was mercury. I have a couple I have no idea what to do with...

Check the Miracle Letters section of some versions of How to Win Friends and Influence People. There are some really good information-gathering type letters in their, plus he goes through one phrase by phrase to explain it's advantages.

LED Industry Growing at $10 Billion a year in USA Alone

    HOT!
I agree that consumers and customers should mostly be in charge, and I personaly missed incadescent bulbs when they were banned and the only alternative were compact florescents. Ever tried to read at night an HFC bulb? I went back to candles. The problem with letting the market decide, though...

    Started a business

    EXECUTION
Whoa whoa whoa. You are running a business for some bosses while owning a competing business on the side? Congratulations on the jump up, but this is completely different than working for a competitor in a low level position while you learn the ropes. This is a major conflict of interest. Be...

LED Industry Growing at $10 Billion a year in USA Alone

Independent, multiple unit owning landlords might be a good target market as well. Electricity prices in my area have skyrocketed, and anything promising to save landlords on utilities should be an easy sell.

    EXECUTION
Wow, that's a lot of activity. I'm sorry about the job, though. I also just took a part-time job to learn selling, though I as of yet have no businesses. Lots of people here recommend focusing, and it looks like you have two things that are really worth focusing on: the lab supply company and...

Developing an algorithm which matches people with psychotherapists (thoughts wanted)

    HOT!
I could see that. I know at least one person who has had tremendous difficulty finding a therapist. I think you need two layers for this. One that would match the person's problem to therapy type, and a second layer that would then match that person's preferences with a a list of therapists.

    Leaving the Sidewalk

    EXECUTION
Ok Third update post. So I haven’t earned any additional non 9-5 money since the last post, but I did get what is essentially my first paycheck since starting to seriously work on myself. Instead of spending it all on beer and luxuries, I paid off a literal ton of debt. Actually, I think I paid...

The jackal may follow the tiger, but, cub, when thy whiskers are grown, Remember the wolf is a hunter—go forth and get food of thy own. -Rudyard Kipling, from The Law of the Jungle (emphasis mine)

My Manager is paying for my training what would be best to learn?

If I could swing it, I would go for Carnegie Course training. It us apparently very good at building people skills and public speaking skills, which are awesome to have at work and even better to have when building a fastlane. As for PMP stuff, I would skip it unless getting your certification...

    Launched our V-1. Finally.

    EXECUTION
Its a cool looking website. I have a couple of questions / comments. 1) Will you ever be able to sort by individual gurus / leaders? 2) I know at least some of these guys tell others what they are reading now. Will you do 'real time' tracking? 3) How are you planning on monetizing the site...
