Do You Work Your a$$ Off So Your Kids Don't Have To Struggle???

    HOT!
For me it's about having the freedom to educate my future family and give them great experiences. "Have the time to teach your kids to fish", if you will. I don't want them to struggle as such, but I want them to know they have to make their own way in life. Money or no money, they need to...

Money System - What Are You Investing That's Getting 5% Return?

    HOT! INVESTING
You haven't read the book, right? These are fine ways to make money, but this thread is all about a money system that generates 5% income each year. Yield vs a capital gain.

@Walter Hay when paying via wire/telegraphic transfer to a supplier, who pays the fees? In all business I have done in the past, I cover my bank's fees, any intermediary bank's fees, leaving the supplier to cover their bank's fees. This seems to be fair to me, as I can't control what their bank...

Freedom: What needs to be heard/said?

I have those moments of realisation from time to time - this morning at 9:30am I caught the lift downstairs to my car and realised all of the other cars were out of the parking area - they were all at work. I said to my wife, "damn we have it good!" Then speaking to my mother on the...

Freedom: What needs to be heard/said?

While many may aspire to freedom, few can actually handle it (think about it, how many can control the freedom to drink, over eat, smoke, take drugs, spend cash on crap, etc). They self sabotage. It takes a strong will to live a life of true choice. Most prefer to live a life without freedom...

Sold my $30,000 p/mth website for $650k - My "near wealth experience" taught me this--> [MP3]

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
So nowadays with the car sold, what makes you happy? Is it that feeling of "wealthiness"? I am not in your position yet but one side effect of my "wealth" has been freedom. I see friends taking jobs they hate because they need it. Others living in share houses because they can't afford their...

I haven't read the book but will be making a point of it Bill. The most unbelievable part of this story is that you didn't get defected driving around South Australia! (I'm ex-Adelaide). Last year my cost of living was a little under 16% of take home pay. The rest was pumped back into my own...

Money System - What Are You Investing That's Getting 5% Return?

    HOT! INVESTING
It's a fair view - after your "asset accumulation phase" you want to focus on asset protection and spin off some income from it. I think most people hold that view, it just looks different depending on the individual. Some like bank interest/CD's, others REITS, others money market funds, bonds...

Money System - What Are You Investing That's Getting 5% Return?

    HOT! INVESTING
Thanks for the reply - I thought you were banking abroad to get that 5% yield, that's why I was asking about currency. I no longer live in Australia and tax is low here, so I'm building a "dividend growth" portfolio with the goal of covering my cost of living. I figure it's good to learn this...

Money System - What Are You Investing That's Getting 5% Return?

    HOT! INVESTING
@V8Bill if you can't get 5% in a safe bank in Australia, what countries are you choosing to use? Have you priced in the currency risk? (I'm also an Australian, interested in what you've found).

Grant Cardone "Buying a House is for Suckers"

    EXECUTION
One day, when I buy a primary residence it will probably be subsidized by a tenant. A family home with a 1-2 bed semi-detached suite next door - after the property is paid off, why not have the tenants pay your bills?

What are the Preferred B2B Payment Methods?

What region is this in @OldFaithful ? I think you'll find that will make a difference. North America, checks & credit card (points). Asia/Pacific, wire transfers (T/T) & credit card (points). Europe, SEPA transfers. But then you also have other methods depending on trust... escrow, PayPal, etc.

Help with passive income once rich and busy?

    INVESTING
This is one area where I strongly recommend taking the time to learn. Everyone in this thread, financial advisors, internet bloggers, journalists, your friends and family will all have opinions and as you're clearly aware, a lot of that advice is bad. Some while good, can also be misguided...

Damn, it's as if you are telling my story. I moved to Andorra with a friend (my wife) for the mountain biking, hiking and skiing. I have a desk with a nice monitor next to the window that I use as a whiteboard with the mountains as a backdrop. Gotta love the outdoors as a way to clear the mind!

Hi Walter, I'm currently trialing some products to see how well they convert and test pricing, so I'm looking for agents offering items at lower MOQs. Understandably, smaller orders mean higher prices. I'm fine with this. What I'm concerned about though, is setting expectations - that at some...

In all cases I am trying to provide as much value as possible. The highest quality product for the lower quality price. I don't have the knowledge/investment to custom design my own products yet (just packaging), but intend to in future.

Hey @biophase, thanks for taking the time to answer questions in this thread. When it comes to a startup product sales business what do you favor? Margin or volume? Say you have $10,000 to invest in product, and due to MOQs you can only afford 2 products to start out of a possible 4. 2 have...
