    MINDSET FEATURED!
Yeah, you say it. Habits can only develop in stable contexts. And if your context at home triggers a lot of other habits, too (chllin out, watching netflix etc.) a lot of self-control - mental wrestling - is needed to overwrite these tendencies.

    MINDSET FEATURED!
You got it 100% right. Sitting down at a table in my fav café with a cup of coffee acts as a so called habit instigation cue that reliably activates thoughts and behaviors related to work. Psychological studies have shown that repeated behaviors in stable contexts become more automatic, meaning...

From no Money and no Coding Skills to AppStore

    EXECUTION
Hey fellow entrepreneurs, "Dear Marco Stojanovic, your app has been approved for the AppStore." BOOM! I received this mail 3 days ago. 1,5 years ago, I had no money to pay a developer, nor the coding skills to create the app I wanted to build. My only companion at that time was the goal I was...

Post Your Desk or Work Area! (The Workspace Thread)

    MINDSET FEATURED!
I like to work in cafés and do so for the last 8 years, 7 days a week on a normal week. Entering a café always activates my working-mindset and makes it easier to start the grind.

SaaS Mastermind Group - Striving to $100k/mo

    HOT! SAAS / APPS
No...I'm actually a psychologist and research habit building for my doctoral thesis. So I conducted a study in which students used my app to build new habits. And doing all the academic statistic analysis, presentations, the writing etc. took some time. Testing could have been a lot shorter if...

    Where to Learn to Code?

I would recommend udemy. I went from abso-no-fkn-idea what code is to first workin beta version of a habit building app with realtime database in the backend within 3 months. But you wont have a lot time for other stuff during this time, tho. I now develop the next version for this app with a...

SaaS Mastermind Group - Striving to $100k/mo

    HOT! SAAS / APPS
Same here. The 100k/mo goal is a bit off putting. I'm currently developing a subscription based habit building app. I've put in 15 months of testing and developing so far and am now working towards getting the first version into the AppStore. My first milestone is make ONE freakin dollar. The...

Getting a kick out of the random positive reinforcement

Hey hey, what you are looking for are gamification frameworks. I read a book on gamification a while ago that is like a blueprint on how to add gamification to businesses. For the Win: How Game Thinking Can Revolutionize Your Business (Wehrbach & Hunter). Its a short read and fun. But you have...

Data on how my habit building app improves several motivational variables (Scientific Study)

    EXECUTION
haha...no...iIts only AI if its complicated and hard to implement :D You are absolutely right, of course... thats a good idea. And it would give me some accountability so that I would feel a little bit worse when watching netflix than I currently do anyway haha... I'll browse through some...

Data on how my habit building app improves several motivational variables (Scientific Study)

    EXECUTION
It's an art to find good peeps, keep them and delegate effectively. A lot of people underestimate this. And I have to get better at this, I guess. But I'm working on it. :) Well. I dont think its that difficult, actually. An AI could analyze the content of what you are talking about, then...

Data on how my habit building app improves several motivational variables (Scientific Study)

    EXECUTION
Nice. Seems you are already going the right way :). I'd love to work with a VA by the end of the year, too. To be honest: Thats something that I put off many times, because I think its not a very easy thing to find a VA who is trustworthy and get the workflow going. Actually, I have a VA for my...

    EXECUTION
Thx, I’ll check it out :). Oh yeah...you programmers have a lot of work in these days, right? I like programmers...they often think in a very clear, rational, logical and structured way. Comes with the kind of work that’s associated with it, I guess. Are you freelancing, employed...

Data on how my habit building app improves several motivational variables (Scientific Study)

    EXECUTION
I‘ll definitely let you guys know when the app is in the AppStore. I’m working on it every day and hope to get it online in like 4-5 weeks. But that should not stop you from building a new habit right away. Once you understood the basic principles, it will get easier and easier to develop good...

Getting results is all that matters

    EXECUTION
Hey Colby, we seem to be on a similar path. I'm currently developing a launch version of an app, too (a habit building app), while trying to write stuff for the university. If you want to know more about it, check out my intro and my execution post. My plan for getting traffic is creating...

    EXECUTION
A quote I'll keep in mind. Like it. Thank you, very motivating to hear that :). What's your craft, btw? Webdev? Yeah. It was a tricky thing to give them guidance and a broad direction but still make sure everyone had enough space to define a self determined "that's MY habit" kind of habit...

Slowlaner from Germany trying to escape

    SLOWLANE INTRO
I feel you. I think we in Germany have a particularly strong slowlane culture that heavily reinforces the „solid“ slowlane. Whenever I talked about my entrepreneurial efforts, the reactions circulated around risk, backup plans, CV-tuning to cover the hole that my certainly failing company will...
