Rucking. Carrying a backpack full of heavy stuff for long distances.

    HEALTH
Walking around with a backpack on does make you feel dorky until you realize no one really cares lol. Also about the coconut water, I think that's why Body Armor is a good brand of "sports drink" if you are ever to buy any brand.

I don't know exactly how many calories I'm burning precisely. I'm calculating using the Pandolf Equation, but it's an estimate (supposedly an underestimate). I'm 6'-1", 25 years old and I've been hovering around 220 lbs for the past few years. That means that not only am I "overweight", but I'm...

Rucking. Carrying a backpack full of heavy stuff for long distances.

    HEALTH
I'm a nerdy engineer, so of course I had to make a spreadsheet to keep track and calculate how many calories I'm burning. Here's what I've done so far. I took the weekend off because I was busy and very sore. Thursday night I went and did 3.5 miles with 30 lbs and I'll admit I had to stop a...

~2.5 miles with 30 lbs strapped to my back. It took me about 40ish minutes. I started feeling the burn at about the point I turned around my first night. Much less weight, but I think it was a better workout overall. The route was something I planned beforehand. I think I can go longer with...

My FIL has a GoRuck pack with a 20 and 30 pound plate that he's going to let me borrow. I'm gonna use it tonight with the 30 pound plate. I'm hoping a better pack with a little less weight will help to go further without killing myself right from the get-go. I'll let you guys know how it goes...

Tried rucking for the first time last night and man am I pathetic lol. 60 lb sandbag and 1 measly kilometer. A few notes I have: 1. The backpack I used was my wife's old backpack. It holds the sandbag just fine, but it digs into my shoulders. I tried wearing a sweatshirt to act as a bit of...

This is awesome! Rucking is something I've been wanting to get into. Maybe this is my wake-up call. Can't wait to see where this thread goes. (P.S. beware to all who enter this thread. That "R" is reaaaaaal close to that "F" on your keyboard. Be sure to type "rucking" correctly! LOL)

Not sure if anyone else sees this, but it's news to me. The first "response" to a Google search no longer shows Google AI. If you want an AI response, you can switch to "AI Mode" at the top of the page to activate it.

I’m all for the debate between vaxx and anti-vaxx. I said in @AceVentures ‘s thread I’m totally anti-vaccines and I’m definitely in that camp. However, given that the discussion in that thread 1) Got out of hand pretty quickly and basically turned into trench warfare 2) Despite getting shut...

This really is only a fraction of the “Culture of Violence Against Children.” There’s a long, long list of things that display how much our “enlightened”, decadent culture hates children. I had never really thought about vaccines too much until 2020 for obvious reasons. A few years later I...

Haven't really been doing this very much this year, but I'm following the Rule of 100 as far as posting goes. 100 days of posting, Monday-Saturday. (I don't like working on Sundays. There are more pressing matters and LinkedIn can wait.) I'm on day 3. September 1st is day 100. I'll come back...
