Said I wouldn't update until I got a sale, so I'll keep this short. I received the shipment and immediately sent it to FBA--should be ready to sell by tomorrow or the next day. I'm posting this to recommend an app that some of you may or may not have heard of. Its called Hemingway and I can...

18 Year Old Taking Action: eCommerce Progress Thread

    EXECUTION
sounds like your taking action, nice job. The only question I have is how scalable is this? You said its only $5 and a one-off purchase, so could you expand your product line eventually to increase your LCV? Just seems like it'd be hard to survive off of one cheap product.

    Axiom's Supplement Company

    EXECUTION
Exactly, which is why you can't just look at supplements and call them "too saturated". A good product will fail. But a good product with excellent marketing will come out on top. People will always buy useful products to keep their bodies healthy, and they want a brand that shows them how to do...

What made me want to start this? Three reasons: I picked a sub niche that is much less developed than say... Protein powder. I looked at the competitors thoroughly and I am confident I can offer something they can't. I look at it as a learning experience. Whether this succeeds greatly...

Update #2: I Should be receiving my first order this week--I'll shoot an email to the manufacturer tomorrow and get a status update on that. In the meantime, I've been laying the groundwork so I can start my execution with a bang. What I've done: Set up Shopify store. I'm using a free theme...

Hey man, have you thought of working out a deal with the UK manufacturer you mentioned in your original thread? If the manu only sells in the UK, odds are they could stand to make a lot more money in the US (assuming you live in the US), provided they have a good distributor. You could contact...

Walter, Is lack of experience in a given industry a deal breaker in most situations? I know you had experience with your first business, but it doesn't seem that you went into your second business with any prior knowledge of the industry. It seems to me that if you have a quality product...

Fantastic thread. I just have a question about B2B product selection. How would you conduct market research for a B2B product? Would you target a specific industry, call up some players in that industry, and ask them what would make their lives easier? Then head on over to some sourcing sites...

How I Made My First Million and the Next…….

    INTRO
So I'm assuming the best route to go is with some time of renewing product for a B2B business? For example, the customer buys your product, uses it up, and has to buy more. I feel like this would be the only way to avoid having to continue finding more and more customers (which can be harder B2B).

Yeah, I've always thought it'd be interesting to start a product-based B2B business. The only thing that worries me is avoiding commodities, because that seems like more trouble than its worth.

Hey Walter, this is a fantastic thread, its good to have people like you around here. One question: is there a specific reason that you never ventured into B2C, or was it just personal preference?
