    I've used coinbase, kraken, and uphold. Uphold makes it the easiest to buy, but they prevent you from withdrawing to an external wallet for 60 days (bad). Kraken is my choice of the three. The interface is clunky but you can withdraw in a few days and the customer service is quick.

    I use Kdenlive because it's libre and supports linux. It's also available on Windows. The newest version is pretty slick and more stable than prior versions. Davinci Resolve is also a great option, as others have pointed out, as long as you don't need to do 4K. It's free as well.

    what's the average gpu utilization on these cards during mining? I've got a 2080Ti laying around (lucky me) that I could be using to mine, but I'm not sure the extra $4 a day would be worth the additional heat added to an already warm room (my office is 5 degrees F warmer than the hallway).

    A bigger factor than the peak power output is the amperage on the 12V rails. If the PSU can't supply enough amperage, it doesn't matter what the peak power output is. I wouldn't go with anybody other than Corsair or Seasonic for PSU.
