How I Blew Up A Business For Under $60

    HOT! MARKETING
Update on my Medium hack experiment: I posted an article from my forum on Medium, then used microworkers to do 2 tasks. One task was to clap 20 to 50 times. The other was to comment. I got the clap count up to 6k. I also got 30 fairly relevant short comments. Organically, 2 people followed me...

So it looks like you refrained in this ad from asking people reading it to share or tag friends to get an additional entry in the contest. Did you avoid doing this because of Facebook's new policy about not asking explicitly for Likes, Shares, etc.? I just read the rest of the thread. Apologies...

[PROGRESS THREAD] ChickenHawk's Self-Published Fiction EBooks

    GOLD!
Causes for tin-foil-hatism abound! It'd be a great narrative if the Kindle Unlimited debacle were the result, however attenuated, of some CIA-jiggered conspiracy. But it could probably be chalked up to simple hubris and greed on Amazon's part. Or maybe just incompetence, as you suggest.

    Intro / SAAS Progress

    SAAS / APPS INTRO
Here's my middle-ground argument. Even as a project manager, at least learn the basics of coding. That way, you'll be able to read others' code and tell whether it's decent. You'll also be able to participate competently in technical discussions and not be at the mercy of your developers'...

[PROGRESS THREAD] ChickenHawk's Self-Published Fiction EBooks

    GOLD!
I didn't know that...very intersting! I found this article from the Washington Business Journal that reports on a new contract AWS got with the CIA! AWS has built a "secret region." Mr. Bezos is now a spy. The article also estimates that government contracts constitute roughly 15% of total...

Nice theory. As you know, Amazon's strategy from day one has been to lose money or break even while cornering the market. They are, though, making money hand-over-fist with Amazon Web Services, the absolute behemoth in cloud computing.

Great offer. I wish you success. And that you're building this while in college is even more impressive! One tip about your pitch: there's a glaring grammar error you repeat that makes your copy less professional. You mix up possessives with plurals. It's "agencies," rather than "agency's."...

So I took your advice at the end of the Medium video and set up another Microworkers campaign to have English-speaking-country residents add relevant short comments to the article. The clap count is already up to over 700 after 23 tasks completed. I'm struggling a bit with picking the best tags...

I think I just learned that right now too! I've got a video ad running on FB with a 2 cent PPE. But...it's a video slideshow. Disappointing that video counts for engagement. It's the most passive kind of engagement.

That seems like a real chore--having to write out 20 comments, then add them to the job instructions, then figure out how to divvy them up so there's no repeats. Picking Western countries and paying more for organic responses sounds better.

#1 overall would be truly impressive! I say go for it. Question: if you use microworkers to post comments, how do you get the comments to feel organic, if you're feeding them the exact wording?

Howdy @codo3500, Thanks for sharing your growth hack here! I went to your site and watched the video for your Medium.com hack as well. The proof is in the pudding, right? I executed the Medium.com hack using your method just now. It took me a bit to figure out the microworkers.com site. It's...

Is this Copyright Infringement? (advice needed)

As a former academic versed in scholarly practices, I echo @Mutant in saying that, by citing the video owner and not republishing the video in its entirety within your eBook, you're well within what's called "acceptable use" of copyrighted material. Best wishes with your publication!
