    I've Read UNSCRIPTED!

    GOLD! HOT!
I recommended Unscripted to a friend last year. He finally started reading this year. Still reading. The other day he said “This reads like the F*ckin Matrix, man!”

Anyone using Zapier? What cool Zaps have you setup?

I made one once that would take responses from a SurveyMonkey survey and dump into a google sheet which was set up to score each survey based on the stuff by Glenn Livingston/Ryan Levesque.

    NOTABLE! HOT! BOOKS CHAT
It is an undertaking. They have an abridged version. But I wanted to get the original full story as she wrote it. All 1,172 pages. My friend who did it before me did the abridged audiobook and sometimes I’ll mention how certain plot points make more sense now and he’s got no idea what I’m...

Just finished Atlas Shrugged. Took me 5.5 months or so to get through it all. Between reading 10ish pages per day and not reading some days at all. Fantastic book. Before I’d even finished, it got me to switch jobs and start focusing more on meaningful things in my off time.

    BP execution thread/journal

    SIDE HUSTLE
For almost 2 months, I have been at doing the "2 jobs" thing to save money faster to get out of this hotel room faster. Working 7 days a week (4 at one job, 3 at the other). A couple weeks ago, I got fed up with always feeling too tired to even do anything for my "Empire". So I put in notice...

A bunch of FTMs. I’m working on a custom Wordpress plugin repository for my own private use right now. Working on stuff one piece/broken window at a time. Reducing the FTMs as I can, piece by kaizen little piece.

    US dock worker labor strike

    SOURCING
I’m finally reading “Atlas Shrugged” and it’s crazy seeing bits of that story playing out in the real world more and more. Or maybe it’s always been there and my RAS is just shifting my awareness. I’ll also avoid political discussion. Just interesting to me

    Growth Investing Process

    INVESTING
Read everything you can. Annual reports, articles etc. Warren spends the bulk of his time doing just that. Research day in and day out. Discarding companies that don’t meet his criteria. The more relevant info you can find and take on board about any given company or investment, the better...

    This website's UX sucks!

    OFF-TOPIC RANT
The only other forum I’m on, it uses Discourse. So that’s what I got used to. This one took me a bit. But now, the only issue I have is remembering how to quote stuff in posts, since Discourse handles that part better. Xenforo does have some advantages over Discourse too, though. Overall...

    HOT! IMPORTANT!
I’m definitely glad for this change. I didn’t even wait to see if I’d be grandfathered. $5 is nothing. I signed up the day I read the initial thread about upgrading. Definitely love this place.

    Do Things That Don't Scale.

    MARKETING
When I first read the stuff in MJ’s stuff about doing things that don’t scale, it always reminds me of in Michael Gerber’s stuff where he talks about the idea of: 1. Developing the org chart for your business. 2. Do all the roles yourself at first. 3. Hire your own replacements for each role...

    BP execution thread/journal

    SIDE HUSTLE
In Unscripted, I just read the part where MJ talks about looking to inconveniences ("I hate...", "How can I...", "Why can't I...") to identify opportunities. In a similar, yet different vein, I have something which bugged me for years, and totally missed an opportunity... I hate when I'm...

Still at the Instacart BS on days the wife and I both have off. Mostly due to needing immediate money, etc. Most of that time is us waiting in the car in the store parking lots for worthy orders to come up (defined as ones that pay enough where I'm not putting most or all back in as fuel...

Value skew: What discernible difference ultimately turned you into a buyer or x-buyer?

    GOLD! HOT! MARKETING
In the town I used to live, there’s a Mexican food place who had killer fries. The oil they used was PERFECT, so they were stellar. Crinkle fries. They were the skew for me. The actual Mexican food was good too. But I’m a sucker for good fries. Well, one day I go in there, order my fries...
