I haven't put out a book in a while simply because I'm focused on other things at the moment, but the books that I have out do indeed generate passive income for me (in the 100's of dollars) every month. I have 4 cooking related books which as I said do generate income but I believe that cookbooks are over saturating the kindle market.

What I'm getting at is YES eBooks are still profitable with the right niche but chances are that in order to be making passive income in the 1000's of dollars every month you need about 100 books up for sale. Some will be homeruns, others will be a waste but it'll all average out.
