    I'm currently reading Crush It and The Millionaire Messenger among other things. I can never actually focus on one book long enough to get all the way through it before switching to another book.

    If you think it's a sound idea, then go for it. Besides, failure is just a learning opportunity for people who want to succeed, so the worst that can happen is that you learn what not to do.

    I think that the best thing you can do is be an example to them. Some will catch on, others won't. Helping people is really rewarding...especially if it makes an improvement in their life.

    I'm not sure how well cold calling owners will work, but I can say for sure that publishing a book is a good idea. You might try to put some kind of spin on the book, like "how to build a better pizza" or something. I can tell you that you'd definitely have to focus on smaller pizza restaurants...
