Best ROI for Retiree with $200k cash

    INVESTING
REIT's are a decent option for a modest 4-6% return. I would recommend becoming a private lender. One option is to find a local investor (preferably Real Estate) who uses OPM to either flip houses or buy commercial proerty that cashflows. Make sure you see where they're putting your money with...

Is there a dark side to the Fastlane?

You're lazy and bored because you have no PURPOSE!! Fastlaners never "retire" and do nothing because their purpose/mission is much bigger than themselves.

How do people become Billionaires in Real estate?

    EXECUTION
Like most folks have stated, the quickest way up is through leverage. Raising money is the most essential ingredient to becoming a real estate behemoth. Also, you'll never get there in residential real estate, you have to be in commercial. You can syndicate deals and earn an equity stake with...

    What are YOU afraid of?

    MINDSET
I rarely watch movies, but I was watching Chasing Mavericks the other night and the ending really struck a chord with me. It’s a phenomenal movie about perseverance, overcoming obstacles, and doing whatever it takes to go after your dreams without ever giving up. Throughout the movie, Gerard...

    How Does He Live?

    EXECUTION
His perspective is fascinating: "When I first looked at this problem I thought why would I be willing to give up a year of my life to do nothing but ride my bike. Then I realized that most of the friends I have ride and I have met more people through riding than anything else I do. So instead...

Making solid returns in Real Estate where do I find investors?

    PEOPLE
    1) Tell EVERYBODY what you do and that you're looking for money. I wouldn't be that straight forward but I say, "I buy investments properties and pay my private lenders a healthy return." Or "I help professionals invest in Real Estate so they don't have to worry when or if they'll retire with...

Financing a Car Has Put Me in More Debt Than I Ever Thought

    MINDSET RANT
Dude, stop lamenting on your problem and go find a solution. Sit down in a quiet place and write down every possible way you can think of how to make that $5k in the next 30-60 days and then sell your car. Be creative. I already suggested leasing the car. Go buy a pressure gauge for tires and...

You can even do a lease option. Collect the option fee up front (say $4 or $5k). That'll go towards the purchase price later on but at least it'll give you some cash to straighten things out. Or hell, collect some form of down payment up front eiter way. That's what the dealershps do.

if you can't sell it for what you owe, can you lease it for what your monthly payment is? At least that'll help relieve the burden of the monthly payment and free up some cash.
