Documenting my progress to scale up my Web Design Business

    HOT! SIDE HUSTLE
Still learning SEO for my existing client. Won't be getting into networking events for this year since things have started to slow down for Christmas. I've been finding it difficult to find genuinely good ones to go to. I'm just putting the word out to anyone who knows me in my inner circle...

Great advice, thank you mate. You raise a good point about attending areas with a barrier to entry. This is similar to what MJ talks about - the lower the barrier to entry, the less value it has overall. I'll keep grinding out SEO learning, as well as using networking to get more leads...

Still no leads from the Facebook ad. With the summer break coming up, I'm considering just walking into local businesses near me and asking outright if they want a site setup for them since I'm starting to get a bit frustrated with the silent reception from the ads + cold emails.

Yeah I definitely see how this would play out. Thanks for the tip man! Still learning SEO and will be starting on that this weekend for my first client. I'll share my journey here with everyone so that you can all learn along with me if you like.

Wow wow thank you so much! A few questions from my end: 1) regarding charging more for websites - I feel like the businesses I interact with have such a tight budget since they are starting off. It's hard to find businesses that want to pay me more than $1000. How would you recommend...

How Do I Motivate Café Staff to Ask for Customer Reviews?

You have to incentivize the customers to give a review. The truth is that in my experience (both at work and in business), nobody gives a review without there being something in it for them. Can you offer something in exchange for them giving a review? A $10 gift card? A gift pack?

I SOLD THE WEBSITE FOR $200 Huge news, this is my first paid upfront site in the 7 months that I have dedicated to this journey. The client has just confirmed today that they will be paying me for the site now that they are satisfied with it. This isn't life changing money but it's a major...

Hey mate, Thank you for pitching in to help. I've attached a screenshot below of what the advert looks like. The full text of the advert reads: "Hey Hills District! We're building websites for local businesses starting at $500. Why is this affordable? I'm new, building my portfolio, and I...

No luck with the ads. Here are the mistakes I think I have made: 1. Not spending enough on overhead advertising I have now increased my budget to improve the reach of my business to people within the local area. With this new budget, I'll be reaching 1.5-2.5k people per day as opposed to...

Will also start publishing marketing content on the Facebook page to attract clients after I close this project out. No ideas on where to begin here. Has anyone had any luck doing this?
