When I drove into work this morning, gas at one of the stations was 2.96/gallon.
When I drove back from work, the same station was advertising the same grade unleaded at 3.14/galllon, just 9 hours later.
Between this and propane/oil futures going sky high, I'm not too sure what to think asides...
I had been looking for a fastlaner's specific journey with getting a container over and dealing with the forwarders for awhile and hadn't yet seen this thread.
I am a bit jealous though, because it looks like all in all his shipment was about 1300$, whereas it seems to be 15,000$+ at...
Even the MSM is tacitly admitting the shortages.
From everything I read, everything in the supply chain is a huge cluster f--- with part of the blame on longshoreman shortages, part of it on "anti-C0VlD"...
Welcome aboard Diablo!
Don't let them break you. A lot of us had a similar experience coming out of college "Shit down, shut the f--- up, and maybe you can be my favorite wageslave in 4-6 years with a lot of OT hee-hee!".
It does sound like you're up the proverbial creek at the moment, but it...
Lol I know this feeling well.
Try to work in the morning just for the shift to hit, then you get off the 8-9 hour shift feeling like hell and you're just running on fumes.
You mentioned that despite your 5 contacts a day, you weren't really getting much positive feedback, is that still the case?
There's been a lot of speculation that china's house of cards is set to crumble.
While the CCP seems to be taking steps to only hurt the small time investors and try to make it out...
This hasn't been a good last month and a half for me.
When I wrote the intro post, I had decent momentum, but I hit the desert of desertion with some tedious project work and lost sight of my why. In addition, I chose not to quit for some strange reason, and I'm still getting my...
If you have to stick around, either read the upward spiral by alex korb, or get him to read it and implement it.
I use to have some pretty bad mood crashes about every 2 weeks or so, turns out if you have poor life habits, you can drive yourself down.
By doing simple things like:
Negative beliefs and biases sting.
I'm kinesthetic dominant, so when it comes to doing things, I either do, or don't.
Not a lot of verbal thinking or consideration, just the pure feeling of capability and confidence.
What kills me is that I have things I like to do like cleaning, hiking in...
I mean... the graph clearly states that all money in the m1 category went from 4,000 BILLION to 18,000 billion which is about 4.5x in just a year... and the link goes right to the st louis fed's site, the fed being the controlling entity of u.s. fiscal policy.
Oh hey what's this, we quintupled the money supply in the past year?
Wait, the FED has decided to discontinue this reporting because it "can't handle the intricacies of the post-C0VlD world?"
This is going to be a mess once the damn breaks.
Many point out...
I put off getting a generator after the Texas freeze in feb because of sky-high generator prices, but it looks like it's still 600-800$ for a generator, oof.
Perhaps a life crime isn't the worst thing for a young millenial at this point...
I'm a completely average young millenial with an...
Hahaha I wish!
What products are you looking at?
When I'm in there I beeline to the fresh food and beeline out, and things are only going north for the food items I see. I stick to unprocessed high-protein whole foods like beef top rounds and things like greek yogurt and eggs or sardines which...
I've been busting my a** off to save over half of my monthly wages since I got a professional job after college. I don't make much, but last year I finally hit an amount that could've been used as a down payment on a house! ...but only for the housing prices from when I started to...
I want it to stop but I believe we can see 30% total for the year as a reasonable scenario.
I've seen quite a few CNN/WaPo headlines saying that it's "Good" and a sign of a "Vibrant, thriving economy". Basically they want to gaslight the people that listen to them into thinking that the fact...
