Should I study, or just do?

I've been pondering this for a day now and I agree with doing both. I think the best strategy is splitting things 85/15 or so, this way I can get through all the best sources of information in a few months and at the same time get something off the ground to apply what I've learned.

Should I study, or just do?

Thanks! This makes more sense when you expand on it that way. To answer the question of what I am studying, I was operating under the assumption that it would be beneficial to just read everything I possibly can on all realms of business for a few months and then I'd have all the reference...

Should I study, or just do?

Fair enough, but what would one do in the case that they had no ideas? Just curious, I will definitely put your advice into practice, I'm not trying to make an excuse here.

Should I study, or just do?

I'm sure everyone has seen the common piece of business advice "Just take action!" I think this a good piece of advice because many people don't, event after they've been exposed to something they think can lead them to their goals. However, I also think that reading and analyzing things is...

What to do when you find out your idea is taken

    IDEA
So I've been brainstorming what I believed was a really great idea, and something that currently did not exist. However, as I'm sure many of you have experienced, I found out today that there is already a company based around the idea I had and it functions very similarly to what I had imagined...

    How to find your skills

I was re-reading How To Get Rich by Felix Dennis today, and I'm on the section near the beginning of the book titled "The Search"... essentially what this section is about is finding what it is that you are going to make your money in. For example, he says that his success selling magazines on...

How Do I Get This To Market?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Apologies if this has been answered before, I tried searching but didn't find anything to my satisfaction. Basically I have conceptualized a solution that could function as either a software application or a complex website. I think this definitely addresses some major concerns in the...

How Many Businesses Must a Man Fail...

    HOT!
I agree with your position, however I'd love it if you could expand on this a little bit. Does looking and thinking hard to find somewhere/something to add value, with the intention of profiting largely from it fit what you describe as "me me me" ?? For example: I am constantly looking in...

Input on requirements for my business idea

    IDEA
Thanks for the reply. Contracting is smart, that could work in the short run. However, one aspect of the service I imagine would require a full time person with expertise. I am in the process of launching a couple mini-businesses right now, hopefully those work out and I can raise some...

Input on requirements for my business idea

    IDEA
So I have a business idea (service) in a ripe niche, and the competition seems to be minimal as of right now (emphasis on "right now"). I want to get in because I think my understanding of this industry and skill set has the potential to make me a front runner going forward. Problem is I'm in...

How Many Businesses Must a Man Fail...

    HOT!
No intention of being sarcastic here but maybe the problem is trying to create a business in the same market over and over? You said you failed 13 businesses but you only tried 4 different niches. Another thing is maybe you are trying in the wrong areas, porn doesn't seem good from my...
