    MINDSET
What made your idea literally impossible? Was it in the professional photography niche? I'm just curious as to why you specified there is a big opening for mobile and professional photograph.

That's a good idea, I've never thought of searching twitter like that for problems that may be recurring.. Thanks for the tip! It'll be a useful tool I'm sure.

I have more free time than ever - How can I spend it wisely?

    MINDSET
I'm actually friends with some of the most successful photographers in the area. I'm meeting with one who was ranked one of the top wedding photographers of 2014 by the knot to ask about marketing yourself to a higher class. Maybe I can use some of the advice he gives me I can return to the...

I have more free time than ever - How can I spend it wisely?

    MINDSET
First a little background info on my current situation and how my time is allocated. About two months ago I quit my job.. Again. But this time is a little different. Since then I've been doing photography full time. Some freelance and some with a local wedding company. This is to provide...

I think I misunderstood your question a little also. I added an edit to my reply.

Should I take this opportunity? First meeting with a potential "partner"

    PEOPLE
What do you mean the first $250? The first $250 brought in while I'm helping will be paid off to me, after that my pay is commission split 50/50 between us after parts cost. EDIT: I think I understand yoru question a little better. No just the first $250 I make while working there goes 100%...

Should I take this opportunity? First meeting with a potential "partner"

    PEOPLE
Today I met with a potential partner for the first time and could use some advice/guidance on which direction I want to take this. We're meeting again on Friday to discuss the details so I need to have my mind made up by then. He's opened up a computer repair business and is looking for...

Lost job, $500 left, starting over

    EXECUTION
The important thing is that you stuck with it to get to this point and now you realize steps that could have been taken to assure results. You'll get there, just keep pushing! You made one app, make more. Or offer your development services to someone else as a company. The possibilities are endless.

Lost job, $500 left, starting over

    EXECUTION
Well let's see, your app is aimed at people who are interested in firearms. Specifically those without a license. Anywhere you can get in front of those who enjoy firearms as a hobby or whatever it may be, do it. Facebook trade pages, craigslist, forums. Now the more tricky one is that it's...

Does anyone else enjoy working with others/groups?

    INTRO
To get the first problem on the table - splitting equity among founders. I don't mean necessarily starting businesses with other people but more of being in a group of others with similar goals and some similar as well as some different sets of skills. Different backgrounds, belonging to...

Helping small businesses build a brand and online presence. Waste of time?

Yeah I definitely expect lots of excitement with little commitment. However I don't plan on aiming at the guys in a van, but the guys in business attire in an office. I also don't plan on trying to pitch my services to a company I feel can't genuinely benefit from it.

Helping small businesses build a brand and online presence. Waste of time?

There will definitely be people more "old school". At the end of the day you'll have to make the decision to move on or to keep pitching to them. In my opinion if they're stuck on online presence unimportant then I won't waste my time. There are hand-fulls of leads to move on to. Now I...

Helping small businesses build a brand and online presence. Waste of time?

ex I absolutely agree that saying your website is bad can have negative impacts.I think instead of saying "A and B are bad on the site" it could be rephrased to "I see you've done A and B, it could potentially be improved by doing X and Y. It can really help project professionalism leading to...

Helping small businesses build a brand and online presence. Waste of time?

That's a great response. Thank you for the info. This forum has definitely been useful. Ask for advice from those doing it and I get advice from those needing it. Thanks to everyone so far.

Helping small businesses build a brand and online presence. Waste of time?

Low to mid five figures a month would be way beyond what I hope to achieve from this. If you read one of my previous posts I say that ideally I would like this to be able to meet or exceed my pay at my current job (which is only $1,000). The reason for this is so that I can focus on working for...
