    I agree. When blogging got noticed around 2006-ish, it got labeled and became a "thing." It has since receded in popularity but is still around. It's simply another tool in the online toolbox instead of a fad. It's not as sexy as it once was, but it's every bit as effective in the right cases.

    Personally, the 25% refund rate wouldn't bother so much. 4 copies sold is such a small sample rate that the refund metric might not be too telling. Much more concerning is the conversion rate. 2000 downloads is good sample set - "why aren't more people buying " should be your daily question...

    I think he means that other people or companies are contacting him to try and sell to his followers. If that's the case, then there is no inventory overhead and he can essentially just market to his followers. Maybe sell access to companies or earn a commission from referrals...

    I'm a developer by profession and can tell you that if you just want to get your foot in the door, you just need to be able to do the work. If you're looking for a 100k salary and climb the corporate ladder, you'll need the paper to back it up (ie: college degree). But small business owners...
