    Same way some book sellers on amazon can sell you a 2lb hardcover for .01 + 3.99 shipping, pay fees, shipping supplies, overhead and inventory. Bulk shipping rates based on volume. When the shipper can pull a semi-truck up to your dock every day and fill it, you'll get a deal on price;)

    Totally agree with this. Some personality types have difficulty responding thoughtfully when engaged by a stranger unexpectedly. I have been guilty of this and know at times I have been (understandably) misunderstood. On the other hand some people are just spoiled weenies ;)

    Good point. Of course with the need still in place I could just hire the employees, buy the equipment and do the whole thing myself. The lack of control is the weak point, but I see this as being a "side street" (once it is operational) that would take very little of my time to maintain.

    I think it also depends on where you are starting from. If you have two crap jobs as the OP did, where is the downside? You can always just go get another warehouse job somewhere. One nice thing about being at the bottom is that you don't have very far to fall.
