The stories you hear have "survivorship bias". In other words, you don't hear the stories about the Hail Mary's that were tried but failed. It analogous to the "unicorns" we hear about originating out of Silicon Valley. We don't hear about the hundreds or thousands of failures that were...

    Which path would you choose?

yes Stops are based on a logical place on the price history chart. Yeah, I'm not quite sure I understand where you are placing the stop - you could post a screenshot of a chart. Post one for a long trade and one for a short trade, and that should clarify things - picture worth 1000 words kind...

    Which path would you choose?

Also, another thing to bear in mind (I will keep posting these little tidbits as I think of them): You cannot know which "mode" the market is in until after the fact. You never know when a trend move will show up. Most of the other traders I know are mean reversion because the markets tend to...

    Which path would you choose?

Something you might want to research: Trend following is also known as long volatility. A corollary is buying options (long option premium). Mean-reversion is also known as short volatility. The corollary is writing option premium (selling options). These two types of strategies are the...

    Which path would you choose?

I'd be happy to review you plan. Are you mean-reversion or trend-following? I'm mostly trend-following. This is far more difficult to do on the day timeframe due to large number of false signals (noise). Most of the guys I trade with are mean-reversion. I typically catch "trend days" and...

    Which path would you choose?

I won't speak to your other options, as I feel others on this forum are perhaps better qualified. I am, however, well qualified to speak to your day trading option. I'm going to tell you some things you probably don't want to hear. In a nutshell, trading profitably is possible, but it will...

I have no affiliation with them, I just found them when I googled what I said above. roboscooters.com Personally, if I was doing what you are doing, I would look at other alternatives as well. I was watching some videos of Segway fails - it appears the thing can get away from you if you are...

Ok, how about just googling "segway alternatives" ? I did, and saw that Segway has ended production. I didn't know they did that. I found an alternative called Roboscooter, and their site says they supply to companies that rent out Segways.

When I make prototypes, its usually about the same cost to make 5 as it is to make 1. If you bought 5, it would give you additional data points to test in your marketplace.

    My Big FTE Moment

    MINDSET FTE
You've had your eyes opened: Companies (or universities) are under NO obligation to reward us engineers (or scientists) beyond the salary they promised us. I've created many products for companies - companies owned by only 1 or 2 people - mostly small businesses. I've seen the owners profit...
