Lost all faith in freelance sites!

    WEB/DIGITAL
It goes both ways, freelancers have to deal with non paying clients all the time. Hourly is the only way I'm guaranteed to get paid. Plus, with what I do (video editing), it is very difficult to give an accurate fixed bid, there are just too many variables.

As a freelancer on upwork I have a couple of thoughts. First if you are hiring somebody hourly, you are much better off paying a higher priced professional who can knock things out quickly and right the first time. I have almost 15 years of experience and can solve just about any problem...

    WTF does Tai Lopez do?

    GURUS
I hope you are not taking things in this thread as a reflection of you or what you're trying to do because from what I've seen you've been nothing more than honest and upfront and from the material I've seen, providing good content. Way back when, Tai offered his 67 steps for $5 plus he shipped...

    WTF does Tai Lopez do?

His other businesses are sites like: http://www.meetingmillionaires.com/ Notice when you go there you will see a bunch of gorgeous models that just happen to live in your town (IP Address) -- I had no idea. Of course most if not all are fake profiles to entice you to pay a monthly fee until you...

To me he fits into the whole Internet Marketing world -- Fastlane, to me, is about creating real value.

    Critique my tea website

    HOT! MARKETING
I think you need to upgrade your bag / label design and feature it on the front page -- people want to know what they are actually going to be receiving for their money.

Why You're In The Wrong Industry

    MINDSET
I agree, but there are some other factors at play in the music / film / art world. One of the big surprise hurdles I encountered in the entertainment industry (Los Angeles) is that there are so many people who look like they're making a living in the industry doing what they love, but they are...

You Are About To See an EPIC Industry Change

This sounds like something that might work for chains, but at higher end places I think the clientele would prefer tipping and so would the wait staff. It's all just perception I guess, but I know some people who would have to be paid $50-60 / hr to equal what they do in tips.

The Baby Sitter - Execution not working as planned

    HOT! MARKETING
The whole business kind of scares me from a liability stand point. I get the double meaning of the your name, but a baby sitter also says, 'sit my baby in here so I can get a break for a few minutes'. Reading all the warnings would make me think again about sitting a baby in there (no sleeping...

I RENTED APARTMENTS TO RENT OUT ON AIRBNB FOR PROFIT

    REAL ESTATE AIRBNB
I'm sure you can get away with this in some places, but I suspect most places would catch on pretty quick. As someone who has rented a lot in the past, I can tell you that property managers / landlords are much more strict today about number of nights overnight guests are allowed and having...

Exhibition space finder for visual artists

I think you're better off thinking more along the lines of a gallery rental / event space airbnb type thing. I recently needed to rent a space for a few hours for about 35-50 people and finding any reasonable space (under $1k) was very difficult. Finally located a gallery that would let us use...

Entering The Fastlane With Little Creativity

I think it can be a hinderance to be too creative. I've worked in a creative field for over a decade and some of the most creative people I know are broke or almost there.

What to do when your customer doesn't know the PROBLEM exists?

Ask a few of the millions of pet owners if this is a problem for them. If you lived with dog / cats long enough you would know if it's a problem or not. I don't think you could convince me something is a new problem unless it is medically related and backed with research. There are age old...
